Thinking of replacing break rotars

Hi I have 3.5 se-r and I was thinking that the regular breaks it has dont seem to have much stopping power so I was wondering what is some good break rotors out their for my car. Also I know this shop that has these decent looking drilled rotors that are made in Canada but I dont remeber the name. I am sure stuff made in Canada are most likely quality stuff specially break shows and rotors and stuff.

SER Altima’s have bigger brakes than the 3.5 SE. And my 3.5 SE has good brakes. The SER should be better. But If you want more. 1, Try flushing Brake fluid. and test for improvement. 2, if rotors are good, change pads to Hawk, and test for improvement. 3, solid rotors are best.

Google tutu auto for drilled rotors. if still intrested.

Ok thanks but umm I also like the look of the drilled ones too. And my back break calipars are rusted and ugly.

Get the rust/zinc/painted coated drilled rotors if you can. They do look good. And about the Calipers, paint them (go crazy with crappy tire caliper paint) and then put on the new rotors. Canadian made stuff are good.

alright thanks.

First of all drill out rotors will not stop you quicker unless you are hard on and off the brakes. If your racing on the streets not wise my buddy just lost his license and they tow his ZO6 corvette. Anyhow your rotors might be glazed just replace them with new ones and use raybestos brake pads. I drive hard and stop just fine.
If you still want to do and do it right you need to purchase Stoptech Big brakes kits should run you about just over $4000.00 to do front and back.
AND if your going to do that spend another $8000.00 to Supercharge it to so you can fully utlized the new stopping power.

yeah wat crow said…

dont go for the crosed drill garbage… solid rotors are the best.

wow this post is it still in the top eh.

Mac is going to take you through the process of inspecting and then if necessasry, replacing your brake rotors. It’s a good idea when you’re doing this to check and replace brake pads, fluid or any other brake components at the same time.

Hows that?
