hahha saabs suck^^^^
and btw. you cant run stck internals over 300whp, unless you want a really heavy paper weight. 20+psi+300whp+stock pistons= saab engine soup

the older 900 and 9-3 (until 99) used the heavier slug. the viggen and 2000+ 9-3 used the crappier slugs.
Sell it to me so i can be cool for a summer
i got the 22mm rear sway bar
genuinesaab is generally really good with their shipping, but this last time they screwed up my address, which turned into a real pain in the ass getting ups to correct it.
lol working on your car is like doing heroine. You start messing around with it and before you know it you are a full blown addict.
genuine saab has been great for me. You should have gone with the 25.5mm bar. Thats what I got and couldnt be happier. I got the Koni springs and the rsb, and the 2pt subframe brace, and besides the struts being shot the car isnt too bad. Now I just need softwear, but Ill get that this spring
what model saab do you have?
i didn’t realize there were as many saabs in the area.
everytime i see this thread come to the top it makes me want to toss that on that 15g i have sitting in my office, and a 3" turbo back.
i ordered stuff from genuine saab but nothing cool like u guys, I’m jealous
I thought about it, but I don’t really push this car much at all, plus an even stiffer sway bar would have made the rear of the car that much more bouncy over the uneven shitty city streets I commute on every day. I’m trying to mix a few mild performance parts with maintaining it for reliability so that it doesnt become more of a money pit than Saabs aready are.
I might get the 6pt subframe brace, and maybe the saab sport exhaust, but that would probably be all I’ll do to this car. I’m looking to get something else soon anyway, so I dont want to get anything too hardcore that would 1)be a waste of money since I plan on selling sooner than later, or 2)reduce appeal to the average resale customer.
that’s not something you see every day (modded Saab), I like it tho!!
f the saab sport exhaust. get the 3" turbo back they have listed. its not SS but if you’re selling it in the next handful of years (ie next summer) it wont be an issue. plus its really inexpensive.
then get a stage 3 flash.
i totally dont know anyone else on this forum that has that planned for a 9-3.
Hopefully by spring i will have the BSR stage 3 for my 9-3, sadly thats pretty much the extent thanks to the Trionic 8 ecu unless i wana lose all my comfort features and go stand-alone
Slots/drills in brakes are really just for looks. You’ll find most people that race their cars just use solid rotors. More durable and cheaper to replace.
I had considered that, but I’m concerned about how loud it would be. I really want to maintain a stockish level of exhaust noise (hardly any). If I got the saab sport, I’d get the ‘quiet version’ with the additional center resonator.
Any idea on if a nordic ecu would cause problems with an obd2 inspection? They send you a different ecu, so I’d be concerned about it not matching the vin of the car.
OEM rotors + Good pads = win IMO
finally got around to doing the intercooler today. it was a bitch of a job since it needed all new piping and coolant lines, but worth it. much faster spool up, especially at part throttle. heat soak was nonexistant in the cool air.

+1
This looks really fun. I’ve started liking saabs alot, myself, in the last year or so. Theres something appealing.
