I’ve been reading his articles on The Truth About Cars and just noticed he’s from Buffalo, NY:
Some of his stuff. There are several good reads here: Thomas Kreutzer Profile | The Truth About Cars

I’m pretty sure this guy wrote a great article about the 90-93 Honda accords (the most indestructible vehicles ever made)
So what you’re saying is that I just discovered your pen-name Jam?
Since this site is rarely car related, not likely.
Haha no but I did share it here a while ago

Iirc josh, you owned one and im pretty sure it started on fire at one point?
Yep, it spontaneously combusted in my driveway, lol.
It’s probably still on the road somewhere though lol
i haven’t lolled like that in a while
Ha! Yeah, I did sell it to someone on here who at least used the interior so it’s possible.
No, I’m not here, but I google myself everyday to see who’s talking about me…
This looks like a fun site, I didn’t know it existed. My street racing days are behind me, but if anyone here has cool cars or knows of any events in the area I might be able to visit, I might be able to work up a story for TTAc at some point.
Yea, there’s a cool car or 2 here.
Hmmmmm
More than that! I’ve only just begun to look around but the photos from Onyx’s Japan trip are awesome. They make me more than a little "home"sick.
I mostly rode bikes when I was there. I had cars too, of course, but when I really wanted to go somewhere quick I went on two wheels. I went to a few bike shops, but nothing like the specialty car shops he visits. That was a lot of fun to see. It made me feel like I squandered my opportunity when I lived there.
I was very luck to have Feast Japan as a guide to all things cars when I was there. Hell, I couldn’t even walk down the correct side of the stairs on my own without mean looks, lol.
You get used to the stares. It’s one reason I liked to ride there. With my gear on I was just like everyone else. You should have seen the looks when I took my helmet off though.
One of the things you realize after a while is that no matter how long you are there, you will never fit in. It’s a little sad, but it can also be liberating too. A lot of times I was that one guy who said what no one else would say and the guy who did things no one else thought to do. It’s nice to be able to get stuff done when others can’t.
Yeah, Adam (Feast Japan on here) basically said the same thing. If you’re a go-getter you can really make moves.
And I found it funny that NONE of the Japanese women we met understood sarcasm. It’s a form of humor that left them stumped for a few minutes, lol.
Humor doesn’t translate well. I’ve been married to a Japanese woman more than 10 years and she has no idea what a funny guy I am.
It sounds like your friend Adam has a good head on his shoulders. A lot of people live there for years and burn themselves out trying to fit in. The trick is to know more than you show - know what good manners are and generally abide by them but when you need to get something done go ahead and do it in the most clueless sincere way possible and you will get away with it.
Dammit… Can’t stop reading his site now…
Thanks! I’m glad to hear that.
Does this mean we have a celebrity on this site now? Welcome! I enjoy your writing and the articles I’ve read.
