Thomas Kreutzer? Is He On Here?

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. This looks like a great community with a lot going on. Finding my way here may be one of the best things to come out of my writing “career” (such as it is).

Maybe I missed it but what brought you to Buffalo?

I made someone laugh! YUSS!

I got transferred here for work. I helped open the new passport agency on Genesee street. It was originally only for two years but I re-upped for two more. I’ll be bidding on my next job this fall and moving again next summer, probably overseas again.

Cool stuff

Any idea where yet? Check out the car scene in South Africa?

It can be anywhere in the world. I have a bid in on Japan, but I don’t think it is going to go anywhere. I am up for a hardship tour this time around and will probably try for SE Asia. I don’t really like hot climates so if Eastern Europe comes up I will try there as well.

I have no real interest in South America or Africa, although if we went I would probably enjoy it and make the best out of it.

Just checked out the site, and enjoyed reading the article on the 12 wks at the upull yard.

That was a really cool idea but, alas, it was not mine…

I have a new article up at TTAC - http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/author/tmkreutzer/

I’d love to hear what you think either over there or over here. I know I could have done a little better proof reading, but no matter how many times I look at something my eye sees what I think I wrote, not what is on the page. Sometimes I’m surprised I can get a coherent thought down in writing.

Cool, I’ll read it later when I have a more time

lol @ “Big Cat Hunting” - now THAT’s how you write a kill story, lol.

Thanks for the support! I was kind of surprised about some of the shitty comments I got on there.

I have one on there now about how to use a Japanese website that lets you search JDM cars. If there are some Japanese car fans on here, they might like that.

Nice, a TTAC writer on the boards. The issues your Freestar had were the same as my father’s Windstar. He still drives the thing. It’s basically a box on wheels… handy when you’re moving offspring to all corners of the US. He still likes it, oddly enough.

I’ll be looking out for your articles… welcome to the site, man.

I just read that one as well and it’s definitely a good story. Nice work

Thank you both. I appreciate every kind word I can get.

True Blue, looks like you have a 300M Special in your signature bank - I own one too. Nice to see another on here.

Very cool. Everyone has a story relating to you '91 GMC one. We all have been burned once or twice. Welcome to the site!

Heh, you may be the only other person on here that cares, lol. Yes, '02, high-option, black/black. I really do like the car, and in person they look sharp.

Post a pic - or better yet, how about a TTAC story?

That Big Cat story was a really good read. Enjoyed it!

Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone, it really means a lot to me. I got some shitty remarks from some guys on the “Big Cat” story - cat lovers maybe, I don’t know - and it makes me ask myself why I bother putting myself out there sometimes. You guys help keep me motivated.

Here is my 300M right after I bought it. I had to send to Arizona for it and had it brought up to Seattle so it would be there when I moved back from Japan. I drove out to Buffalo after that - which is why it has WA plates on it. I’ll probably do a story on it in the next day or two, I moved heaven and earth to get it.

I really don’t use it much right now, it has about 85K miles on it. I’ll drive it more in summer and I take it on road trips from time to time. When I do take it out, people ask about it a lot. It still looks like a new car and a lot of people think it looks more modern than the newer 300Cs out there now. I love it, it’s a great car and just right for what I need it.

Fan of your site - more than a few hours of my time have been wasted reading it.
