Threads to Sticky/Documentation

There are some great threads in gen auto that start out as. OMG I’m an idiot poster, I want to swap a motor into my EG. What motor should I toss in it.

Then it turns into well a bitch fest omg you are an idiot, but sifting through lots of the info people put up there is enough for one Solid post, with all the info where to obtain a motor, what to motor to swap in, estimate costs, extra parts needed, pros and cons of such swap.

Since the OP is an idiot, all this information essentially gets buried, and very hard to search because the title is motor swap. not anything specific were most would just pass over it.

so with that info… ad a wiki, or just a new thread with a well compiled post?

so what do you want…a better search tool? or like this… http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/878010

I didn’t click the link as Honda-tech is actually blocked at my office, but what he is looking for is a wiki that can be searched updated and edited by all users. Or just a post that can be compiled. The post won’t work as only one person will be able to edit. The wiki is doable, but is it something that will see traffic and get used properly? I think that all of Lafengases DIY threads and all of the general how to’s would find a nice home there.

Tho other concern is that even though users and changes are logged, and people can be banned for being ass hats, will people respect it and not make stupid changes?

there is a lot more but its got all the info anyone needs

thats kind of what I was talking about. I used honda that as an example. The wiki thats modifiable by users would be amazing

Here is a wiki add on to vb: http://www.nuhit.com/nuwiki/features.html

Here it is in action: http://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669&redir_from=668

yep 100% awesomeness

 +1

Any say on this?

So we can stop some of the stupid fucking questions?
