:io:
Drunk driving needs much harsher punishment and there should be no way for a drunk driver to EVER get a licence to drive ever again. I have been rear ended by 2 drunk drivers in my life, both before I was 18. I have hated with a passion anyone who decides to drink and get behind the wheel ever since. There is no excuse, none. I am pissed just typing this. RIP
Terrible to hear. RIP
It’s not okay to take other peoples lives into your hands. And when you drive even slightly impaired you’re doing just that. It’s just that simple.
It’s not about what BA you blow, or for the most part even about how many you had (within reason). It’s about gambling with that which is not yours…another human life. Taking a person from their family and friends FOREVER has only one fitting punishment.
If they would make examples of a few people and serve a fitting punishment…maybe then people would think twice about driving after drinking. As if the thought of potentially killing another person shouldn’t be enough to make people hand over the keys when they know they’ll be drinking.
God forbid people may act in a responsible manner and think about consequence from a human perspective once in awhile. It’s sad we have to talk about how many years in jail or what punishment is needed to make people act responsibly. How selfish a world we live in.
RIP to this and the countless other victims of drunk/impaired drivers.
yes.
they can make the laws stricter all they want and lower the legal limit from .15 to .10 then to .08 like they actually did, and people will still drive drunk. Making the laws more strict doesnt stop people from breaking the law, sometimes not even in the least bit.
There are 10 MRU, 3 k9 and the normal district on duty cops floating through. On top of that there are 2 cops paid by pure and 2 cops paid by bayou.
They do this every Thursday Friday and sat from 11 to 4. 2am the streets get shutdown and people not in night clubs have to fond a place to go. It’s prevention not response
