Timing Belt Job Performed Twice

I did want to respond to this since you’re one of the people that has reached out to me in the past offering help. I didn’t wait until I was 10 states away to “blow up A.S.S.'s spot.” Everything I wanted to say to Daryl I said face to face while I was in his shop. I didn’t post a single thing about that day or even a negative word about the timing belt the first time because I don’t like to e-argue/e-fight with another person. I prefer to discuss and debate or even argue face to face. Unfortunately, my current situation prevents that. Also, you know from the other forum that I waited to talk with him after I had the diagnosis before I posted anything so I didn’t just get on here and start blasting ASS. I still haven’t. I have listed events. I’m not going to put myself in a libel situation where I start throwing my opinion out there on the interwebz. I have listed what I have been told and my experiences with the shop at the shop owner’s request in some instances.

As far as turning my own wrenches, I agree. Which is why, since I’ve begun modding, I’ve learned as much as I could. Purchased the tools I could afford, and tried to get away from taking the car to shops. But I haven’t learned everything so sometimes I still need to take the car in. I also moved in with my gf about a year ago which only had street parking so I was limited. I still replaced my rear shock myself in the middle of the road, changed my own fuel filter in the middle of the road, installed speakers which included cutting into my door (never had installed them before), changed cam followers, deleted my noise pipe and installed the Passat pipe in it’s place, did some VAGCOM stuff, etc. I’ve seen your build threads and I know that’s all child’s play to you but I’m still learning.
