Timing chain guides removed, now no start!

His car doesn’t start, so I don’t think timing light is an option at this point.

Aren’t there matchmarks on the gear end of the distributor that should line up when you reinstall it with the engine @ TDC?

With the distributor in, it’s clockwise to advance and counter-clockwise to retard.

If nothing works, try swapping in another dizzy. I had the same issue when mine went fubar.
