Had a very similar situation on I-90 - 87 in a 65 coming back from Erie PA. I signaled, moved over to the left lane to get around slower moving traffic, signaled to go back into the right lane, and just as I did, BAM. Was passing by a speed trap with a Trooper sitting on top of a little knoll. I saw him start to back out, figured he was coming after me, so I pulled over and waited. He came up to the window, and I had all my info ready to go with the truck off, and hands in plain sight. Long story short - he came back, handed me my info and we played the seat belt game (I wasn’t as quick to pick up on it at first, because I ALWAYS wear one).

this doesn’t work all the time. i just get speeding tickets and tint tickets. not one or the other.

Yup, no front plates have saved me from speeding tickets too.
Also, any unauthorized decals or stickers on the glass have saved me too.
I have been saved by tint before. I also had a sheriff give me a ticket for 58 in a 45. Came over a hill saw him flip the lights and pulled over before he turned around. Come court time he was in the room when I talked to the DA. Actually said because I was polite and honest he told the DA to drop the ticket. Being polite and honest has worked at least 80% of the time for me.
Sometimes can help.
When you do get pulled over, you want it to be as quick and painless as possible.
Having an attitude right from the get go and being rude can only make things worse and extend the whole process.
I see how tint can help out in this situation. Be careful in the city though I got pulled over by the same cop twice threatening to give me a $600 ticket. I posted a thread on it awhile back and no one on here could confirm or deny it. I still roll my windows down whenever I’m in that area and see a cop. lol

I got pulled over on the highway the other night. He said slow down and gave me a fix it no front plate ticket.
