Tire mounting

Awesome, Other then some dumb responses and the thick&thin. Finally someone got to the nitty gritty. I’m going to Swerve.

I thought I was the only person on here that called them wheels!

i figured being a car guy you know what feathering. If you have a un balanced tire that is shaking while going down the road the edges will wear at different levels which is caused feathering.

If you think $20 is alot, go to dunn tire or one of those ‘normal’ car shops who would even attempt to mount 18’s. They likely will put small scratches over the lip of your wheels and they charge you in the $30-40 range a tire.

My dad went to the only place he could find to mount tires on his stock 19’s and they scratched one real bad and didnt even align the dot with the valve stem. Clearly they have no idea what they are doing. And it cost $35 a tire + tax and took them hours to ‘get around to it’.

That is a myth, the red and yellow dots on the sidewall of a tire have nothing to do with how they get balanced. My roommate used to work for Dunlop and laughs every time he hears someone say that.

^ was your roomate the dotter?

well when u go to someplace else and they fuck up your wheels have fun.

my bro took his 3k ccw’s 18x11 and got them mounted and balanced without any issues or scratches at all. Paul/Rich are the best people ive ever dealt with when it comes to mounting/balancing

ahahahahaha I actually laughed out loud at that one
