I have after market rims and my car uses tire pressure sensors., so i bought new sensors and i mocked it in and their is this gap. dont know anything about this, so is this gap normal or is it supose to be flush against the rim?

Plus their is a part on the stem that is threaded for what looks like a nut to go on so it could be tightened for a good seal. But the sensors never came with this nut, do I need it and if I do were can i get it?
Bump! Anyone?
there is suppossed to be an 11mm nut that goes over top of the valve stem. i have installed them at work many times… i work for a gm dealer so i guess you could try there.
if its that much of an issue, see if you can get other sensors that work that use the band and wraps around the inside of the wheel… not sure what sensors will carry over to other vehicles tho…
I think I’ll just deal with the tire pressure light blinking (black tape over) and it’ll ding when I turn it on only. These are just another pita, lol.
