just looking for some winter tires and just wondering if 245/45R17’s would rub at all with the stock wheels…
anyone?
btw the car is a spec v
Thanks! :thumb
okay i am not the pro here, but im pretty sure that they will rub, thats pretty much to wide. i hear you will rub with 225’s. but im not 100%
WAY too wide. Especially for a 7" wide wheel.
Believe it or not you actually want to run a thinner tire in the winter. The smaller contact patch will give the tire far more traction on ice. Also to run a 245 your going to have to run at least a 7.5 inch wide wheel, likley a 8 inch.
cool, just what I wanted to know, thanks!
Don’t make the same mistake i did… Get a set of winter stealies and go down to a 15"… It will save you money and your rims won’t look like shit. It’s about $200 a tire for 17" and then transfering them and your summer tires is a pain…
I was thinking of that, but those brembos probably won’t fit under a 15" wheel=/
long term plan is to get a decent tire/wheel combo for summer and keep the stock wheels for the winter tires.
I saw the NISMO wheels at the dealership but not to sure if the 17’s would fit over the brembos…
anyways thanks for the suggestion!
Actually the Nismos were specifically designed with the Brembos in mind. They fit beautifully!
good to know! :drinkers:
