As subject says, what is the biggest size tire you can put on the stock rims for the spec. i saw some guy on vboard has 225/45/17. thanksss 8)
I heard you could fit a 235 width on the tire but the guy that did it said it rubbed like crazy.
Why would you really need more than that width? Buy better tires, or find a wheel with a different offset and lose a little bit of turning lock (if you don’t want them to rub, that is).
Yeah if you are looking for certain winty’s you don’t have brembos, just buy some steelies and some winty’s so you never have to swap rims anymore. I’m so happy I’ll never have to worry about that anymore, but I had/have Yokohama AVS winter tires are they are insane in the snow.
yah i have winters, some hancook(hoever u spl it) and some ugly 15 steelies, im just thinkin i want wider for the next time i buy tires for my 17’s
just order some slicks from PTI you’ll love them I promise, plus you could make your Spec look like snarling pig on wheels
Hey man, I run a 225/45/17. They don’t rub unless I load the backseat up with 3 people… which I never do. Fronts clear no problem. If they do rub in the back thourgh it’s pretty simpler to ge your fenders rolled, because it’ only that small lip that sticks out from the inside of the fender that you have to worry about touching. And that’s pretty easy to roll up, if you know what you’re doing. Just make sure it’s warm so you don’t crack the paint. Anyway, I haven’t had to do it yet and I’ve been running these tires for a year with the Prokits Drop.
