Tire Rim question

I have my wife’s winter tires mounted on 4x100 rims that came off an '89 Civic. Last year she used them without a problem. Now today I went to put them on, and the rims are rubbing against the outside of the calipers. Only thing I have done is put new brake pads on 2 months ago. Would that cause this problem? She drives a '98 Integra hatchback.

used them both years on the same car? or last year on the 89 civic and now trying this year on the Teg? if thats so the offset is prob off for the teg so you get a rub

Yes same car both year. They were used last year on my wife’s Integra. Now this year they are rubbing, which I don’t get. The rims themselves are from an '89 Civic but I had no problems with running them on the Integra last winter.

It’s because the new pads are causing the caliper to sit further away from the rotor, and closer to the wheel. I’ve seen this before on a customer car.

Damn that’s what I was afraid of. Guess I’ll be looking for new steelies then.
