okay the 30th had Nitto 555R-II extremes on it last summer. When i bought the car there wa sonly a tad bit of life left on the tires, yet they still performed amazingly. Herein lies the problem: 4 new R-II’s will cost me about $800 shipped to me. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with the Falken rt615. Sounds to be a decent performing tire from what i have read up on. Mileage you can pull out of the rt615’s? Anybody ever track (road course) them? Any input is greatly appreciated. The Eagle GS-C’s on the car right now suck.
I’d say check out Hankook Z212s @ edgeracing they are cheaper than RT-615s and the performance is about on the same par…

should have mentioned these are 275/40/17’s. That was another limiting factor. Any info in the nt-01’s? i figure you road course manh handling guys are the best people to ask. I plan on going to the track days this year with the beast.
If you want my opinion leave the Eagle’s on the 17s.
Buy these…

And then mount 255/50 16s (are a very popular size)…

I have never seen anyone seriously run Nittos. On paper they seem o.k., just no one runs them and there must be a reason for it. But for less money than buying new Nittos you can have a better performing set-up.

buy those like you wanted last year
well cords came through on the eagles so i went ahead and ordered the r2’s. they treated me well.
I was gonna go with Nitto 555R’s for the drive end then Nitto 450s for the roller end…But, prolly need to have same compound on all 4 corners when autoXing huh?
