Just placed an order on one of these

Very hard to find as apparently they are not sold in US anymore.

I’ll let you guys know what I think, it will see plenty of use on my bikes.

Old chain cleaner talk thread I mentioned it in

Will be using it in combination with

Have you ever used the Dupont chain lube? You will def like it, been using it for a few years on my o-ring chains! Its a great product and last a long time.

I’ve been using it for the last year or two now.

My chain maintenance is notoriously horrible and neglected. Often I’ll spray the chain and just take off without waiting for it to dry and I rarely clean them.

I’m hoping this brush will allow me to clean the chain well in between the Teflon application.

That’s a sweet brush. I need to clean my chain today, I covered it in a thick coat of BelRay white lithium chain lube when I put the bike away. It still got a bit rusty tho. I use the 'ole toothbrush and kerosene.

I’ll let you guys know how I like it. It wasn’t cheap @ ~$25 shipped.

Here is their review video

$25 is out of my price range, but would like to hear how well that works.

All I wanted to know is where I can buy just 1 quat of kerosene instead of forcing to buy gallons of it…

Split it with people.

Problem with the Tirox thing is that it’s only $16 normally. Which is half decent considering grunge brushes are ~$10 and cleaner is around ~$5, however I either have to get Tirox shipped from Canada or England or seemingly the last store in the USA (which I did) and shipping alone is $8 :frowning:

you guys use kerosene? I’ve heard to soak chains in gas…
never tried either, but if i ever have a need to, it’s good to know.

Walmart. $5 for about 1 gallon (I think it was a gallon, might’ve been 1/2 gallon). I only needed like a pint of the stuff, so I’ve got a lot left over. You can have some of mine if you want.

Here’s some pics from cleaning the chain today. Tools used: Kerosene, 1 tooth brush, 3 rags, and dupont chain lube

Before: Chain was coated in a thick coat of white BelRay chain lube

After first step of cleaning (rag soaked in kerosene)

After the toothbrush w/ kerosene. A bit of rust left but it all came off after I lubed the chain and took the bike for a ride

Where do you get your info from??? You never soak a chain (assuming its an o-ring chain) in gasoline, kerosene, etc. You can use kerosene to clean the chain but long exposure will ruin the seals on the chain.

I caved and just bought a gallon, I guess I will use the rest to get high…:rofl

I will buy some off you!

I forgot to say I have a kero heater so I could share.

might give this stuff a shot just for the brush.

If you just need a little, then just come and grab some. Unless you want like half of it…
