Tom Brady: Most Hated man in Buffalo?

Again, Buffalo is awesome but let’s not pretend its something it’s not lol…

I live in Tonawanda because it’s “nicer” than most homes I could afford in Buffalo. Now, given I had the money I’d totally live in a house off Hertel/Elmwood/Deleware Park.

But that’s not in the cards.

That has always been my point

Based on Buffalos job market etc the nice parts of Buffalo are not geared towards middle class.

Yuuuuup.

I love how I’ve done more to defend Buffalo just in my NYSpeed posts than Defend Buffalo has ever done. Where are all the people that supposedly love Buffalo but allow me to stand up for the city by myself?

And?

I don’t even have to say anything, you say plenty enough.

Ugh, some people will never learn

In other words, you have nothing to say.

Some people refuse to admit the errors of their ways. (Yes, you.)

I’ve wasted enough time on this nonsense. I’m gonna go try to enjoy my Saturday.

Dude I love buffalo as much as the next person. Some dude saying we have shitty hotels doesn’t offend me a bit, because its the truth. It’s the truth, and we got called out. Have you ever even set foot in the Adams mark?

If anyone loves Buffalo or their hotels enough to get worked up and get mad at someone, maybe you should try a few nights at some of them, your views will probably change. Honestly, WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT TOM BRADY THINKS OF BUFFALO. You guys are so butthurt over this. Tell Brady that you think his wife is ugly, guess what he thinks? NOTHING.

Lol if you think Tom Brady’s wife is ugly you’re probably gay.

If I said that Cleveland sucks (which is does) do you think people would throw a hissy fit?

When I think of Buffalo housing, I think of the game of dominoes as far as neighborhood structures.

Buffalo: content with being content.

Tom Brady and hotels aside, all you faggots that love downing buffalo so much, why are you all still here? Is it because it’s cool to talk shit about a city that has been on the down for a while to blend in with the rest of the cool crowd? Or is it because you make JUST enough money here to live a pretty high quality of life, and could never make it in these bigger cities you all love to compare to so much?

Finally someone else who gives a shit.

I <3 Buffalo

Burbs have their place and are a great for many. No need to hate when others priorities are not the same as yours. I am personally very committed to and happy with living in the city and think many really don’t understand the life in the “nice” areas but that is ok. In the end it really isn’t worth being worked up over.

Basically i think it is ignorant on either end to say which is “better” as it is more accurate to say which aligns better with ones interests.

Lastly hot damn the hotel I stayed at the last few nights in Saratoga Springs was nice. Brady would approve

^This guy speaks the truth. <3

Most people here already said they are here for their social and work connections. If you are in a well paying field, Buffalo is good for that aspect since it is cheap and less of a constant economic swing that other big-small cities are prone too since Buffalo’s economy already tanked in the 80’s-90’s. People talk about how great it is here, the historic city, and how amazing the people are but why doesn’t any of these people try to do anything about it to really turn Buffalo for the better? There is a lot of online activists for a better Buffalo but what is anyone actually doing out there to maybe put better people in charge in public office, bring together people to maybe paint a neighborhood, or even organizing more community events that bring more people into the city and buy things from local businesses? Everyone gets mad when someone hates on Buffalo but why not in this case, take the news crews who are doing stories on how much of an ass Brady is and why not go investigate the hotel he stayed at and try to find out what the story was? People here would rather hate the people who hate on the city instead of working to improve it.

I do my part

Also as mentioned in another thread almost anything I can buy made in or sold by a local business owner I will…100% of my Christmas gifts given this year were made in Buffalo

I Live in the city and likely always will

Member of the Zoo, Art Gallery, Science Museum, Historic Society

Basically…I know I am the rarity(most people do love to bitch and do minimal) but there are TONS of people here driving to make a difference.

PS- Anyone else interested in helping out we have lots of Happy Hour fund raisers for BTeam. Beer

I’m in this group with ftb , cougar speed, 91mr2, ect. Right now I’m looking at a few 3000 sq ft Victorians in one of nicest neighborhoods of the city.

Why is this noteworthy? I’m 23 years old and the houses cost around 200k (sometimes less)

Try doing that in any big name city, you’ll be saving for the dp until age 30 so no need to rush either

No buffalo does not have all the glitz and glamour of a lot of other cities, but it
does have positive trade offs as well, especially if you can make good money
here.

And Boxxa…

Since I suck at using my iPad I’ll have to continue down here

Literally everything you suggested in your post in already going on, with one exception. Putting someone good in public office is going to be hard with the current demographics and politics of the city. The best way to fix this is to have concerned citizens moving in. (or maybe some miracle outsider comes out of left field but I’m not holding my breath)

Multiple different groups get together to paint neighborhoods every year

Ever see a buffalo first sticker on a storefront window in buffalo? Theres your program to get people to buy things locally

Community events? If anything we have too many, I wanted to go to the craft beer festival at the conn st armory today but I ended up going to something else instead. I have to make choices all the time.

What we need in buffalo is more jobs and more residents. Everything else would fall into place organically. The first one is a pretty heavy lift, but the second is a little easier. We have people such as yourself that already have good jobs in this area but choose to live in the burbs. If we can start attracting them back to the city the nice hotels and shopping you desire will have the demographics they desire to locate themselves in the city.[COLOR=“Silver”]
