Tom Brady: Most Hated man in Buffalo?

Yahoo Sports interview Shredd & Ragan to get their take on Brady’s stupid comments:

Before long, reports of Brady’s remarks had made their way to the 716 and 585 area codes and the reaction was immediate and hostile.
“A lot of people are up in arms about it,” said Ted Shredd of the ‘Shredd and Ragan Show’ on Buffalo radio station ‘The Edge.’ “People are saying that here is a pompous, overpaid athlete on a national stage, taking shots at Buffalo. And for what? Sure there are bad hotels everywhere but there are good ones too. Is the Hyatt not good enough for you? The Marriott not good enough?”
Co-host Tom Ragan weighed in: “We think he is being cheap,” he said. “At this point he should be paying for his parents to come to games. If he is not putting them in nice places, it means Gisele (Bundchen, Brady’s wife) is controlling the purse strings a little too tightly. Maybe he is bitter too, after the game earlier in the season.”

Buffalo really isn’t that great when you compare it to other places

Buffalo really does have a serious inferiority complex.

I dont know why people are upset, we don’t want this guy to feel comfortable and at home in this city. I am happy that he hates coming here.

The hotels here do suck severely compared to their same-brand counterparts in other cities. I don’t see a problem with this.

Tom who?

people care about this?

Buffalo sucks but if you’re in the NFL why would you let your dad stay in shitty hotels?

While im not losing sleep over this, I still dont understand how you guys cant sound a little upset over this. Im assuming its just a defense thing.

We choose to live here and many of us are born here, you naturally should feel defensive when someone insults a part of your choice or upbringing. If a stranger comes over to the apartment you rent, and sarcastically scoffs at the paint on the exterior and your broken step, its going to sting a little, even if you are just renting the place you call your home. Brady dint just laugh at you right on your doorstep, he got on twitter and told the world “lol @ this place #facepalm.”

If this dint hurt you in the least then im assuming you youre just living in Buffalo and dont call it your home.

Who the fuck cares, we really don’t have the nicest hotels. While I was watching the NHL all-star game, I was thinking how it’d be cool to have it in Buffalo. Then, I though where would people stay, and what the fuck would they do for fun around here? I can’t believe people are genuinely offended by this.

Instead of everyone in Buffalo being a whiny bitch that he said the hotels suck, why doesn’t the news actually find out the hotel that his parents stayed in and had such a horrible experience that it came up in a random interview and maybe improve it?

He is Tom Brady. He is married to a super model and has been to cities all over the world including some pretty shitty ones like Detroit and Cleveland. Buffalo, a city with a failing economy and a football team who’s only existence is teetering on its 92 year old owner who has no idea where he even is, means nothing to him so something pretty shitty had to have happened that caused him to randomly bring it up. God this city never changes.

Buffalo is the kid in school who is failing all the tests and blaming the teacher and school system for being shitty and not admitting they are dumb. Keep repainting old buildings and call it revitalizing the city and voting in the corrupt politicians and Detroit will start looking San Diego compared to Buffalo.

I can’t stand tom brady.

Anyone that says the buffalo area sucks really has no idea how much western new york has to offer. Are there some areas that needsome major help? Sure, but it seems like they’re starting to work towards improvement finally. I may not live in the city or want to, but I do call this area home.

As someone who is not from Buffalo…

Yes, there is a lot of pride here, get over it, you’ll find that in nearly every city. Like it or not but Buffalo heavily lacks progression, save for a few select spots here and there Buffalo doesn’t come off as a very appealing city to outsiders. I’m not hating, just sharing what I notice in my travels to and fro.

That being said, Bradys got a point. Don’t take offense Buffalo, just dump that ‘but we were a great powerhouse 70 years ago! Look at our grain elevators!’ mentality and get your shit together.

Try traveling

It’s funny you idiots get upset because he insulted some hotel that has NOTHING to do with anyone in this thread…

Compare the hotels in Buffalo to the major cities with NFL teams.

It’s not like he insulted Anchor Bar wings, Snow, and whatever else Buffalo is actually known for

Yes. I found so many people who think this area is the sacred ground either a) place their opinion in merely the fact they know people here and rather not take a shot at meeting new people or b) they have never experienced any place new

They are too poor to leave like the rest of us but afraid to admit it

I average ~20-22k miles a year on my car, in part due to traveling alot. Nice try though.

Dumb rationale. Go look for jobs in other thriving cities, you’ll be surprised at how much higher the wages are.

You consider that traveling when average Americans put between 10-15,000 miles on a car per year? lol ok

Hahahhahahahahahahha
