It all depends on what your looking to do, here he is looking for something simple but reliable to carry his tools around for under 300. Harbor frieght/craftsman are fine for that. Now if your starting your own business you then need to get more serious on what you buy. An important thing to remmeber if your starting a business after a while you will be working on peoples cars that you dont know, and thier first image of your shop is important. If all you have is harbor fright tools in your shop , some might not think your serious about what you do and not want to do business with you. Which doesnt mean your not a great tech, but in that circumstance its important to show you are dedicated to your work and your shop.
this is true to an extent. Your box needs to be big enough to organize all your tools. I have a 1350 macsimizer and definetly wouldn’t go back to crapsman. The big name boxes also last much much longer. It’s a question of would you rather spend more money once or less money over and over again. In my experience craftsman stuff only last a couple years then you will have to replace it. Again thats in a service center environment.
well if your tools are all over and unorganized when you need that tool and you don’t know where it is, you loose money cause you can’t get a job done in the flat rate time, or make you money cause you can get the job done in less than the flat rate time.
:facepalm
