Halla!!
That’s the one I was talking about.
hmm, may be a small purchase for me this week. I lost my current crappy set
started out with a 120 piece set from CT costed 69.99. Then got more as went along. You def need a rubber hammer so buying a 10 dollar Fuller from walmart shouldnt be a problem. For torque wrenches I got one medium sized one for 80 dollars from CT and it hasn’t failed me yet. But like all you need are the common sizes of sockets/wrenches used on the 240sx 8,10,12,14 and maybe a few trips down to princess auto to get the specialty tools like: pulley pullers, C-clip remover, valve spring compressor etc… If you just wanna get job done i would suggest mastercraft for sure!
Ah i remember… always when u go to the junkyard… remember to look after your tools and make sure you leave with all of them haha… i had a tendency of leaving tools here and there. and make sure the dude below you doesnt go running off with all ur tools haha…
except when you need to wait in line and it takes 45 minutes to return 2 broken screw drivers, but other than that its my prefered brand.
Depends on what your using them for. Ive broken a shit load of mastercraft and PA tools. However, some of their other stuff is great.
There are certain things however that Snap-on is a must have for. things like flex sockets, line wrenches, ratchets if you use them everyday etc etc mostly the more specialty things
id agree with most of what everyone is saying. Im a millwright and use my tools everyday. Craftsman is sweet for sockets. their socket sets (sockets only, no ratchets) go on sale for 50% off most of the time. I find that the deep sockets are hex shaped all the way down, as some are only hex shaped for 3/4" and round the rest of the way. for ratchets i use snap-on, they are expensive but definitely worth it. there is a blue point set (made by snap on) of ratchets that include 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 for aroud $150. I find crappy tire strip out teeth way too easy. snap on is alright for pneumatic, i like chicago pneumatic, and ingersoll rand. crappy tire wrenches are pretty good, but they do spread when used with a bar. just remember you get what you pay for. proto and gray are also good tool makers.
yesssssssss why dose nobody know gray tools?
Go with Mastercraft, I’ve replaced many of theirs tools without any problem. It’s not best quality but it’s enough for working on my project. Also you should not be afraid to ask them to borrow any tool. They lend many tools like that big hub nut socket for example. What is it 36mm or something? I get it for free every time I need it from Canadian Tire. I thing I’ll buy one allready, cause sometime I feel bad asking for it again and again.
i dont think that gray is commong anymore cause no one sells it. where do you buy your gray tools?
suplyer on langstaff and duffrin
brofasco at progress/bellemy sells Gray tools
there is a tool shop on Woodbine/14th that also sells Gray tools.
yeah the brafasco there is awsome. guys give me so much free shit lol
;)All of them brakes, just buy whoever gives the best warranty.
Cisco sells gray tools and a bunch of other ones. I actually got to talk with one of the reps from gray when I was at my old job. I wish I wrote down what he said, cause he was telling me exactly what to get from them, and what I could cheap out on and get no-name.
get a helper monkey as a tool
