The guys on rochesterracing.com are setting a tow vehicle race at empire. Sounds like it will be a pretty fun event. They are looking for at least 15 interested people before making this happen. As of now there are 6 including myself.

Info at: http://www.rochesterracing.com/forum…w-vehicle-race

Rules:
Everybody could get in on the mix with this one…what ever you tow your ride with to the track …$20 a vehicle/driver…bracket style .500 tree…

Now before all you smartass’s say “oh you mean street class”

rules

  1. must be capable of hauling car and crew to the track
  1. no passenger cars
  1. must have class 3 or larger hitch including 5th wheel
  1. no slicks or drag radial tires

if anyone can think of anyothers stips there should be post em up…

Maybe do it on a friday night at empire?

it’d be cooler if it was a requirement, that it would have had to actually have towed a vehicle to the track to qualify.

I agree, but my tow vehical is a sedan, doesnt have a class 3 hitch… it is a diesel lol

I could have rocked this in the TBSS with the :tspry:

I was thinking the same with my Jeep… once I get the harness activated, I’ll probably be towing my brother’s pig around so we can both race.

Are you using the factory hitch? Any change to the exhaust?

I have a custom class IV hitch made specifically for the truck. Exhaust is stock. I’ll post pics from the phone, BRB.

Interesting solution, seems to work well. Do these have the cross member with the 4 bolt holes like the normal GC’s have? Its to bad the exhaust comes out in the middle.

I’d have to see the crossmember you’re referring to to make the comparison.

MOPAR sells a hitch for it, class 2, and it hangs from the same bracket as the exhaust and only that bracket, which I believe is the same bracket as the other GCs (in addition to the sub-frame like mine.
