What’s the prizes for each event if you reach podium?

Prize for each independent event is a Trophy. Prize for attending all events and placing on the podium for each class = Lots and lots of stuff, over $10,000 worth of stuff. Most of which is in the form of gift certificates that entitles you to pick up anything from Forge Motorsports, Vibrant, Much much more at JRP. In addition you get the series trophy.

Hope this helps.

your rules don’t mention anything about engine swaps. are they permitted? ie, 240 with an ls1 or a 86 with a 302 under the hood.

peace

Engine swaps are legal, if the car is street legal, you just go under the “power to weight ratio”. Aftermarket turbo’s, superchargers, Engine Swaps, custom engine builds, etc are all legal.

The determination for classing for those cars are based on Power to Weight and if it’s Street Legal or not.

If the car is street legal and it has a weight to power ratio less than 12:1 then it goes in C class. If it’s a race ready trailered car that’s not street legal with no interior with an engine swap, it goes in D.

Hope this helps.

Wow this looks like a lot of fun!! I hope I can switch with someone at work so I can go!

i does. is the driver required to submit a dyno sheet as well as proof of weight like from an mto scale or any kind of scale for that matter?
the rules are little casual-witch is good- but some seem are little vague and need some clarification.

the series sounds like it will be alot of fun. wish my car would be ready to compete in it.

peace

tire restrictions?
class restrictions?

id like more info. this sounds like its perfect for me.

I would love to compete in the Gymkhana event… unfortunately I’m heading on vacation that day.

Good to see some other events in town though!

The rules were meant to be “easy” so that any car can compete. The Dyno Charts and Weights are a requirment if you’re using that scale. That’s to prove to the competitor that’s lodging the protest.

It’s meant to be a fun series with rewards.

I don’t understand your question… Use any type of tires you want, there are bonuses for using Toyo Tires, and you get 40% discount on Toyo R compound tires if you decide to use those.

As for class restrictions, it’s fairly detailed in the rulebook: If your car is street legal and has 12Lbs / Hp or greater, you’ll fit in A class. If you use R comps and have low power to weight ratio, you’ll be in B class. All other cars that are street legal with less than 12Lbs / hp, move up to C class. Race prepped cars or purpose built cars can run in D class.

Tires are wide open, but if you use premium tires like Hoosiers or any 2 grove R comps, that’ll push you up to D class automatically.

Hope this helps clarify.

All the information can be found at the ATTS web site: www.atts-online.ca

Hope to see some of you guys there.

This is shaping up to be an awesome series.

It has potential to really bridge the gap between grassroots-type events and sanctioned motorsports.

Good stuff!

Man this looks awesome…time to get my car ready…

This is the first of a 3 year plan, this year we’re going to make some mistakes, but keep in mind, it’s for the greater good of everyone. We are a “not for profit” organization and this is so cheap because because it’s supported by the corporate side. It’s really architected so that anyone who’s had aspirations of going to the track is “allowed” to run.

The reason we’re not really condoning the use of Premium Tires is to let the average “joe” go out and have fun.

We have a complete coaching program involved “free of charge” for newcomers too. Yes, you’re correct, it’s meant to bridge the gap between “lappers” and “sanctioned” motorsports.

So if you’ve never been at one of these events, we’ll be providing coaches to help out, and showing you how to enjoy yourselves in this “legal” event.

Hope to see some of you guys out, if not to compete, at least come out to watch. We allow passengers during the practice runs come out and get rides in the coaches cars during the warmup sessions, we hope to get more and more people addicted. It’s an adrenaline rush!!!

http://spda-online.ca/uploads/forums/3_4a3ef6b32f2a1.jpg

60 Advanced registrations already as of now and they continue to trickl in. We may have to hit the cap depending on the amount of walk in’s. We want to make sure that people get as many runs as possible.

It’s going to be fantastic, people are coming from all over Ontario, there will be a Subaru vs EVO nemisis thing going on as well, plus JDM vs American Muscle. There’s an awesome 240Z with an RB26 with twin GT28 Turbo’s coming up. This guy runs low 10’s and his car actually turns.

2 Subaru’s that run in the mid 10’s coming out. It’ll be a great spectator sport as well, we designed the course so that the exciting stuff happens in plain sight. In addition, passengers are allowed during the practice runs, so if you’ve never been in a competition car before, it’s free to grab a loaner helmet and jump in the co-pilot seat for FREE…

Hope some of you can make it.

I’ll post an update shortly, but the Prizes are Awesome!!!
