That lsx swap is fantastic. I love the styling on these and just wish they came with a respectable power plant. I’ve driven them and its just not enough.

You’re not allowed to say that in this thread.

Everyone who owns one will say “its plenty”

Would you be the guy to admit you don’t have enough?

Since day 1 of owning mine I have always said that it needs more power. I didn’t buy it to go fast in a straight line though.

This is an other interesting swap

Those EKanooRacing guys are in the middle east… Not starting a debate here, but wonder if they have similar regulations over there. They have some Supra’s and a GTR that’s insane.

My argument has always been there are a number of family sedans that run 13s/14 flat a 15 sec 1/4 mile out of anything “performance” oriented is laughable

Also at that price point the Ford Focus ST is better in every aspect while being slightly cheaper.

Idk, I’d take the BRZ over the ST anyday. I bought the car for where the power goes, not how much power it makes.

Going fast, straight is cool.

But drifting around the circle in east aurora at a safe 15mph is pretty fun too. The car is more of a go-cart than anything.

This car is for sale again… for the low price of 45,000$

hahaha

Subaru BRZ Gets Five More Horsepower; The Game Will Never Be The Same; Muscle Car Fans Have Lost All Reason To Live

lol

While the article is kind of funny, it is important to realize that complaining about the FRS/BRZ HP is to miss the point of the car entirely…

Yea every other performance car on the planet keeps getting faster and people keep making excuses why the BRZ is under powered…

And yes I have drove one…

I did not ask if you drove one, I’m sure you have…but when you consider what happened with most Japanese sports cars over the last 20-30 years (ie. Supra, RX7, 3000GT, 300ZX, I could go on…), don’t you think Toyota/Subaru might be trying to avoid that pitfall? That is, the cars just keep getting more powerful, more expensive, heavier, etc., and then eventually the market dries up when the economy starts to struggle, and then they are gone? Look at the big success from that world of sports cars…the Miata…in 25 years, yes it has gone through a few generations, but it has kept true to its prinicpals, and has stayed a good seller all along…

That is not to say I would not mind a more intense, faster FRS/BRZ edition…but I do not need it to appreciate it for what is is currently…

Next gen on the way. Also, they’re bringing back the MR2?

Toyota’s next 86 is expected to be the most affordable of a "three brothers"lineup of sports cars that will include it, the GR Supra, and a currently unspecified model expected to either be a revived Celica or MR2.

IMO the previous model looked better… this one looks more bubbly if that makes sense.
