Uhh, even if the problem with the runaway toyotas is electrical, are people really soo stupid that they cant put a runaway car in neutral or simply turn it off?
yes, yes they are.:picard:
This is one time I’m happy to live in america where toyota just can’t pay off their commy asian govt to look the other way.
What the fuck?
A bad time to own a drive by wire automatic Toyota?
Id assume they would try to put it in the little N next to the D, or even turn the key off?
You do realize Toyota is Japanese, not Chinese right?
Toyota can’t fix the idiots who purchase their cars. I heard the 911 call. I felt bad for the family but if this guy had the time to call 911 and talk for 20 secs or so before the crash, how this guy was a police officer and lived this long is a miracle itself.
She was driving her Toyota Prius outside Denver, CO when she says it suddenly shot up to 90 miles an hour
if by suddenly she means eventually then I find the story more believable.
wow, guess they really are moving you forward.
apparently ppl r that stupid,
they had a 911 call on the news from some kid and he didnt think of doing that and killed him n 3 other ppl when he drove threw an intersection.
That was the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.
The call was from a passenger, not the driver. And he wasn’t familiar with the car, which had push-button start.
Toyota said the accident was caused by a wrong-sized, all-weather rubber floor mat in the car that was pushed down and caught the gas pedal, holding it down. (ABC News)
or even dumber to purchase the wrong mats.
isnt this a repost?
Don’t many jeeps do this from the early 90’s? I thought there was a thread on here when a woman in a jeep came rippin out of delta on nfb and smashed a couple cars up before rolling it.
