I wanted to trade my Wrangler in for a new car as I hated driving it. Everyday was such a chore getting up to speed on the highways, the wind noise was annoying as hell, and the hood lift was getting ridiculous(for me at least). So I started my search with Audis, VWs, Subarus, Honda…etc but nothing really caught my eye like the new mustangs.
So in October I made the leap and purchased a 2011 mustang GT. Production time was about 8 weeks from the time I ordered it to when it arrived at the dealer.
It is a little dirty as I haven’t had time to bring it to Delta for a wash. Yes I will be driving this over the winter (unfortunately). I’m getting it washed this weekend as the weather is supposed to be nice, so I will post up more desireable pics.
Currently looking into axleback exhausts…torn between Borla S-type or Rousch. Any suggestions would be helpful as I’m torn between the 2. Money factor might come into play here and Rousch is cheaper and sounds just as good. Any other exhausts you guys have experience with and like the tone, post up.
Spring time will probably bring a CAI and tune. These cars react very well to a CAI and tune and pick up about 40whp.
On to the pics…again I will take more “scenic” pics this weekend instead of my driveway.
Oh and looking for suggestions on a custom plate.
Some already suggested are:
5PNTOHNO
5POINT0
KIOTEE50(coyote)
OHNO5OH
COYOTE7(my bday#)
SLORTHNU (Slower than you)
BLK5OH
Didn’t 5th gear do a comparison of TONS of different car wash methods, and find that places like Delta Sonic was the best for your paint, compared to other venues (hand washing, etc…)?
^^^i dont go through any carwash, not just because my car is too low for the track. people take their rusty and muddy vehicles through these and that shit gets caught in the fabric spinning things and then that gets rubbed on your car and does wonders to the clearcoat. no thanks. this is the same reason i never use the brush in the coinwash, only go there to give a nice spray down from the pressure. i wash my cars at home.
Pickup the latest copy of Muscle mustangs and fast fords. they just put a blower on one. on 9.5 pounds it made 661 RWHP. seems like the blocks are almost bullet proof like ther terminator blocks
I’d go with the Borla personally. Flowmasters are ghey and everyone always goes with those. I had many different types on my old mustang, but nothing was as nice (looking, sounding and fitting) as the borla. You get what you pay for. oh yeah, and its Roush…
