I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem as I do with their sr swap.
(1) I cant go from second to first unless I come to a complete stop.
(2)When I press the clutch it makes a noise similiar to a unlubricated door being opened, so instead of putting lube all over the place can someone direct me to the main problem spots.
yeah theres no syncro in frist gear i believe, so it wont shift to 1 without going really slow. like 10km or less.
is the noise coming from inside the cabin, out outside? could just be the pedal creaking a bit cause of no lube. you could try graphite spray on the linkages so it doesn’t drip. I know my pedal creaks sometimes.
if you want to shift down into 1st without going to like 10 km, just put the car into neutral for a second, then put it into 1st, that slows down the clutch and such (its called double clutching) but wiht double clutch you usually have to up the revz to rev match, which you can do as well, actually i advise that so you do eff anything up. but i do the same in my integra as stated above 1st gear doesnt have a synchro
^^ it really does depend on the car though, my 92 integra i can, but my friends 94 mitsu gto wont, of course teh gearing on the GTo is messed, first gear goes up to 80 km/hr
