hi,
i used to have problem with my clutch it used to make wierd noinces when i change the gears, i dint mind about that because i was planning to get a engine swap in spring so i was driving with it the whole winter. once i pulled a littele far in the first gear and the enging bay started giving me more wiered noices when i press the clutch i dont hear any noice the ride was so noice with wired clicking sounds ans stuffs when i took it to the garage they told that the transmission was gone but the car was still driving so i dint bother to drive it home with the noices and on the way the car fixed itselfs i dint hear any noices every thing was for a little while and later i was not able to get to the 4 th gear actually i can go to the 4th gear but the engine revs its like being in nutral so i had to drive all da way in 3rd gear and now the engine is making wierd noices again and finaly i hit home and i stop it and when i start it and try to move now it makes wierd noices and in a while the the engine is shutting off. one of my friend told me in manual cars the transmission would not get screwd its the clutch that gives up and he told i just have to change the clutch , need help what could be the problem ?
And the biggest sentence on SON goes too…
yesh that’s not a simple clutch problem.
I don’t know if you’re aware of it, but the clutch mearly connects your motor to the transmission, if you cant get into gear and it’s making a funny noise, then it is most likely the transmission itself and has very little to do with the clutch.
As you stated you’re only having problems with certain gears and having noises. That is going to be much more than just a clutch swap.
Look into gettin a new tranny or getting the one you have rebuilt. It’s most likely cheaper to grab a newer one than to have it rebuilt.
I think I found the problem… you have what’s called double-post-in-the-wrong-section syndrome
moved.
this is exactly why i made that thread last week.
worst forum EVAR.
You know what, you’re right. I didn’t even bother to read the post because it looked too annoying. And so now I have… and boy I was right.
spike0, try again, and use punctuation and a little coherency.
