trany fluid question

changed me trany fluid at work last week and now for the first 15 mins of my drive getting it into 1st and shifting into 2nd is kinda tuff. i can feel it grid. But after about 15mins or so of driving it gets better and this problem goes away. i dont know if its cuz the cold weather or that i put 80w 90 hypoid oil. some guys at work thought that its too thick and others said it shouldn’t make a difference. now i dont know if the hypoid is to think for cold weather or is there any difference between regular 80w90 and 80w90 hypoid?

any suggestions on what oil to use would be great .

thx for your time

Mike

i would say its because its too cold…i have the same problem in my s13 when its cold out, the fluid needs to be all warmed up

what i do is make my shift a little slower letting it stay in the neutral position a bit longer i find that it wont grind as much doing this

good luck

rob

in morning i cant shift to 2nd at all or if i force it in it will grind  i gota let it warm up a bit then drive my car… stupid cold weather lol…
