can anyone recomend me someone? I have a dead tree a little too close for comfort that needs to come down and turned into firewood.

How big is it? And let me know the estimate you get. I need to be able to brace myself when we price out our own. We have a giant dead tree right next to the house in the front yard and I’m dreading how much it’s going to cost to tear it down. It’s the frickin’ biggest tree on the street.
heh grabber. Thanks i’ll give them a call.

I’ll see where my parents got their 2 removed from. We had a pine tree and a HUGE [/Billy Fuccilo] maple tree that was probably the biggest on the block, but was struck by lightning and died. Anyway, my dad said it was like a couple hundred bucks.
If you’ve got a tree that interferes with power lines, call NYSEG and they will take care of it for free.
Oh goody. I need to have big ass tree taken down and 2 stumps ground.
can rent stump grinders for a hundo a day, i was looking in to that after i take some dead trees down myself… but then i thought again about taking them down myself

Cheapest around and they did a great job
BUMP! Saw a few different threads on tree removal in my search, this one having the most feedback/suggestions but it’s still a bit dated. I have one small tree (about 5 ft tall) I’m looking to rid of but since it’s right near the corner of my house, it’s definitely not something I want to mess around with. Anyone have some updated opinions or experiences they’d like to chime in with?
Also, I’m not sure if I’d be better off cutting it down to the stump myself and then having someone ground out/remove the stump or just having someone do the entire job.
Not sure if serious.
