^lol!
I love how these politicians tell Russia, Ukraine , Syria at how illegitimate their elections are and then people like Lindsey Graham say bs like “America deserves Hillary for nominating somebody like Donald Trump” . Basically telling Americans Go to Hell if you don’t do what I say. I select the candidate and you vote yes or no on him. What a joke. Trump is getting my vote more for shit like that than because I believe he will do something special for me/improve my life in some way. I have friends with 13 year old kids who support Trump and the message these morons are sending as that we are no different than these 3rd world countries.
Here’s a question for those of you who have been in the USA pre 2000’s at an age old enough to understand politics etc.
When I came to America, I understood American power on the world stage, especially when it comes to the military to be unmatched. That was before Putins large investement in the Russian military. Now a couple months back I pick up a USAToday newspaper to bag and deliver and after reading the headline I just thought “What an F’in joke!!” It basically read something like “ISIS bombing raids halted due to shortage of bombs in the US Navy”. Are you kidding me?
So my question to you is, has there ever been a time like that in the past 40 years? To me , that is pathetic.
Here is said article http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/12/03/isil-iraq-syria-hellfire-missiles-drones/76741954/
Our country is operating with its hands tied behind its back. Lobbying groups, political correctness and social media are the real reason this county is screwed.
Yeah I just don’t get it. 1.7trillion spent on Iraq war and we dont have enough missiles to fight terrorists? At the same time we are ready to fight an actual country ? is that what we’re supposed to expect or believe?
I honestly don’t think that political correctness is an issue. I see it as a red herring, and I see this point as the main driver toward the perception that certain Trump supporters as racists. Many people are out there acting extremely disrespectfully towards their fellow Americans, using this point as an excuse.
Our society should value respect and tact when it comes to debating issues.
Getting back to trump being “racist” about eating a Taco Bowl…WHO THE HELL CARES! People need to grow up.
If he came out and said the best pasta is made by Italians in the trump tower, you wouldn’t see me crying. Id be putting on my lucky Italian horn necklace and making my way to trump tower
@nermoria the defense spending cap that’s leading to a shortage in weapons is due to sequestration, something both the Dems & GOP setup as a “worst case scenario” then it actually ended up happening. Details here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_budget_sequestration_in_2013
Who’s to blame? Really everyone in government and for their spending habits. All sides of government spend like crazy because that’s the nature of government. And when they get cut off they don’t know how to prioritize funding because it’s not a learned practice. That’s why I’m interested to see if a budget minded, private sector individual a-la-Trump can change things. Not that he’d necessarily run the government like a business (again by its nature it can’t be) but that he’ll apply some strategies to not just cut but spend more effectively.
Can we not let the whole @bing not using Amazon thing be forgotten…
Wait, what am I doing posting a reasonable response like that!!! I must redeem myself…

It’s a Canadian thing. It’s like someone from Asia saying “Holy shit you guys don’t use Alibaba?!?!?!”

Trump never really used good business skills to do anything, he used family money and celebrity power. Also lots of outsourced labor and manufacturing along with lots of shady tax moves and bankruptcy. Most of the things you see his name on are licensing deals and not his stuff. He also has NO history of giving single fuck about the common man based on his past actions.
I mean, if you can, please dispute this.
Dispute: kind of, but not really. Read a book: http://www.amazon.com/Trump-Art-Deal-Donald-J/dp/0345479173
He may have started with some level of privilege but he did not solely accept that privilege and accidentally end up rich. Additionally, shady tax moves and bankruptcies are good investment strategies when the government allows them legally. Additionally, I find no evidence that Hillary, Bernie, Cruz or Kasich has any history of giving a fuck about the common man regardless of rhetorical bullshit, but with that said, I would prefer to exceed the standard of a common man and thus would prefer the candidate who may allow me to bet on myself rather than prop everyone else up.
Just my two cents though. I am legitimately buying a 458 Italia the second he gets elected before the prices skyrocket when he reduces the income tax, so I have a literal horse in this race.
my whole point is stop saying he’s different… you don’t like when politicians bend every rule and screw everybody over stop saying Trump is any different then this or that he gives a single fuck about the common man.
Aside from all the news media saying that, where is your data to back that up?
I don’t need him to do anything for me. My socioeconomic standing is entirely up to me, the idea that he can somehow directly influence me economically in 4-8 years is a fantasy, he can start the process though. What he can do is change the way things are done abroad, the way our military is funded etc. Having more balls than Obama counts as well. Look at the Iran deal and what happened when our Navy personnel were taken by the Iranians and women degraded on video, what did Obama say or do? Absolutely nothing! America looks like a bodybuilder standing on the stage with his muscles sagging, trunks down and dick cut off. Liberal “peace peace” policy for you. America first type of policy is what I agree with
Edit: he is different. Because he is so self centered, he wants to leave some sort of legacy so he would have to do something that those who voted him in were promised. If he happens to be much better that then bravo. The fact that he talks the way he talks shows that he is different and not like the rest of the politicians
Sure thing;
Why should this matter? Only the left cares how you make your money or grow your wealth. Money has no morality yet everyone on the Democrat side tries to convince people that money and success are things to be ashamed of. Especially if you didn’t make it abiding by their arbitrary definition of “morality.”
Again, why not? When you’re in business and your competition finds a loophole or tax advantage and starts to undercut you, why wouldn’t you emulate that? His use of H-1B visas in Florida is a perfect example. Why should he not take advantage of the terrible way the government wrote the law? Because you think he should “take the moral high ground” or some weak shit like that? Nope. Business is about making money.
How awesome is it that he’s built up his name so much that people PAY HIM to put his name on shit? We should give this man a standing ovation for this incredible feat.
Read the blurb I posted above about him stopping the mugging.
Or how he helped a critically sick boy: Did Trump's Private Jet Carry a Sick Child from California to New York? | Snopes.com
Or this:
Now you can certainly argue that this stuff is self serving, but who cares? Anyone who’s friends with you on Facebook certainly knows you’re all about the shelter pets and posting about it doesn’t make you a bad person either. I applaud both of you for your individual actions to make the world a better place in the individual way you see fit.

And if none of his philanthropy ever when public (which is how most charity works) people would still complain he wasn’t “moral” enough.
I believe most Canadians thing amazon is legit while I still think alibaba is a scam somehow. haha.
How do you not see the hypocrisy of Donald condemning so many of the things that he himself does. Non-stop shaming of companies that outsource cheap labor while he does the same for his projects and products. Its one thing to call out scumbag moves for the American worker, it’s a while different level to do this while YOU ARE DOING IT TOO.
Giving a few people in need handouts is like feeling good about giving a bum $5 at the intersection on this wealth level… This is no Bill Gates here.
I don’t hate the hustle, but I also don’t fall for it here. You think he’s looking to do anything but help the wealthy first, you’re crazy.
Who better to understand and make changes to the system than someone who has used that system all his life?
See, it’ll never be enough for some people. He has no obligation to be nice to anyone or give money to any charity. Yet you think he does because of your own arbitrary morality when it comes to wealthy people.
Instead of letting wealthy people keep their money and decide (or not) where to allocate their charity, Democrats want “forced” charity by taxing the wealthy and letting a select few politicians decide who’s worthy to receive that money.
Like I said earlier in this thread, I’m voting for my self interest the same as any other American. If you’re NOT voting for your own self interest and instead voting for some vague Utopian concept of fairness & justice that will never happen, then I only slightly feel bad for you; the more people who buy into the Democrat party narrative that the system is rigged against you and don’t take the time to truly understand the system and use that system, the less people there are standing in the way of those who will.
