How quick starfish can regrow their limbs.
So Google?
I’ll probably regret asking this, but what do you consider the ‘fact governing body of the world?’
If one administration can come in and destroy everything with their own rise in one 4 year term then the system itself is broken
There is none. It’s all mostly a collection of changing theories of what is observable at the time (in science).
When it comes to politics and social issues, there are no facts, just statistics and how people interpret them. You can have the same statistic but two different people see a different fact in it
Statistics as a base can be fact. It is when you get into observable studies or samples is when the interoperation happens.
A study that has true data like asking everyone in your family their favorite color is fact.
A study like smoking causes cancer can be taken to into interpretation as it is observable that someone does A and causes B but doesn’t factor in other things like did they drink lead contaminated water growing up.
True except look at people who say that there is a male/female pay gap. Sure that is true on the surface, but the problem is that people consider their interpretations to be a fact too. For instance, the pay gap is because of sexism. Or the it is fact that there are more blacks in prison than whites, which means that it is a fact that it is due to racism. Then they say that they base everything in reality or are realistic.
I come from the view of chaos theory and millions of factors involved in making something to be that “Fact”.
But as a whole, I dont believe there is a fact governing body, to me it is absurd.
I think my back and forth with you about the very obvious problems of religion in the government can stop, since you’re cherry picking parts to reply to, and doing so out of context (funny, sounds familiar). I can’t point out an obvious problem without you saying “OH BUT THE LEFT <insert horrible deed>”. I very clearly stated that the far left is just as wrong as the far right, so it’s pointless to continue. I had a feeling it wouldn’t go anywhere before I even started, so I suppose that’s my bad.
Yes, Trump did create social chaos. So did Hillary. Even Bernie tried to do so. It was a very effective tactic to gain die-hard followers. Isn’t that the very reason people started to like Trump to begin with? Because he was stirring shit up, saying it like it is, calling out the man, etc etc etc?
What do I say the fact governing body of the world is? Causality. People, their choices, and the results of those choices.
I’m sorry that I don’t try to write a full-blown essay while I’m working and replying on my phone.
It’s funny because all of what you keep mentioning is typical of a lefty or any other person bashing somebody just because they find out that the particular person believes in something/ is spiritual.
So basically what you’re saying is that if i say something true, or make a point that I believe in, it justifies people going crazy aka your so called social chaos? Just because they don’t agree? … on the other hand, i have to take it laying down on everything that they say / believe in?
Trump did not create social chaos, people can’t keep calm or act rationally. That’s the same as a woman getting raped and being her fault because she wore something sexy.
Not calling somebody out is called pandering, calling somebody out is called being a realist.
People choose to take offense, and people who are offended at everything need to grow the hell up and stop being morons. The world doesn’t revolve around them.
Seems they are really pushing for the electoral college to go faithless. http://liberalsociety.com/breaking-presidential-electors-are-dumping-trump-trump-administration-in-crisis-mode/
Can we just go back to talking about Bill’s dime piece ‘massage therapist’ for a second? I know @bing is with me…
If that really happens, I’m moving to Iceland. Not because I’m a Trump fan, or a Hillary fan, but the fact that this country is a fucking pussy. Like him or not, the guy got in. Harden the fuck up and deal with it.
yeah i’m down with knowing whats up with this bish
You seem to be one of those people. @burnt_toast is giving you a very reasonable discussion and you aren’t giving a second thought before labeling it as ‘typical lefty’. Nothing of what he said was far left. To me it seemed like he was being rational and respectful. Give it a shot.
It’s fake. Just do a google image search on it.
I understand why people have negative feelings towards the electoral college vote.
Here is something to think about, generally speaking, Liberals (democrats) live in major metropolitan areas. They believe the bigger the government, the better. They rely heavily on the government, and public systems. Public Transportation, Heat, Electricity, Police, etc etc.
On the other hand, in your rural areas, you generally have more of a conservative population. Conservative views believe in smaller goverment, less regulation and goverment intervention, etc. Generally people in rural areas depend less on the goverment in their day to day activities.
How? Lets say, the entire city of New York loses power during the winter, for days. There would be mass chaos, people would die from exposure, they would need protection by law enforcement etc.
Now, lets say power is cut off to Malta, Montana… while, it would be a minor inconvenience, the people would easily be able to heat their homes (either by wood fire or propane), they would power their homes by generators, they would not need to worry about looters/robbers as they have firearms for protection etc. Basically, what I am saying, is, rural areas for the most part do not depend on the goverment for day to day life.
Which brings me to my next point… who produces what. Large cities, like NYC and LA play a pivotal roll in our economy. But, let’s be honest, they make money off money. NYC, home to the largest financial markets in the world. LA home to some of the largest ports, plays a huge roll in our trading/shipping industry. But, do either of these cities produce primary necessities for survival?
States like Montana, that have more head of cattle than humans, while not the forefront of economic trade, plays a huge roll in a primary need in our country. Providing food to citizens of our country. States like Idaho, where huge logging companies turn timber into usable construction materials to build residences. See where I’m going with this?
So, my point I’m making is, if the majority of the country controls everyone, without regard for the minority population, we would have a democracy. Do you guys think its fair that huge population centers like NYC and LA (that generally have a liberal mentality) can control everyone? A presidential election based off a popular vote is essentially mob rule. The belief that we are one nation, is not exactly true… we are a federation made up of many nations (states) and each state has a right to be recognized. This aligns with the fact that the United States is considered a Republic, not a democracy.
Haha how am I taking offense? This started with me thinking the Pence comment was absurd/pathetic, how is that taking offense? When I read that, I laughed, I was not agitated. To me it was like seeing a puppy and a snarling wolf, and being afraid of the puppy. When I say people take offense, I’m talking about the people that find issue with what Trump says/believes in to the point that they create social unrest. The idea that he incites social unrest because of the things he says and ahould be blamed for it is… childish. That is the pinnacle of pc culture.
Also ,how is telling me that I’m just based in fairy tales and he is in reality being respectful? I think they call it the “Tone of Condescencion” ! Respectful used to mean that you might disagree with me, but you don’t have a burning desire to tell me how pathetic/stupid I am for having my “Pokemon god” and that all of a sudden my views on any issue are null and not based in reality and fact? I have plenty of friends to who I am way far right in my personal life, but that doesn’t stop us from having coffee together and respecting the fact that each one of us is entitled to our own opinions and there is no one authority to tell us who is right. It’s all based on a belief of some sort.
If you feel offended in any way, that’s ok.I’m happy Trump won even though originally I thought is this all America has to offer? Even if he does 1/10th of what he promised, I will be happy.
Anyway, how would you expect me to explain a Hillary presidency to my children?
you do understand that painting with a brush that big is the same as if I just say all republicans are racist?
Can you explain this toaster thing? I’m fairly intrigued because i could use a new toaster. Is the quality of the toaster directly proportionate to the number of people you turn or would that just increase the quantity?
I never knew about conversion therapy that is insane.
I never knew about
