Just fyi, the Evo’s getting sold/ traded in. I do have some stock parts, used parts, and unused parts that I will be looking to get rid of. I posted a few things in the for sale forum. I guess the biggest thing is an unused brand new Evo FP Red ported by Buschur Racing. It was fun while it lasted, but times change and it’s time for me to move on.
All things come to an end eventually. Good luck in your next endeavor!
Thanks Adam. It looks like I am going to have a pile of parts an almost full 5 gal drum of M1 meth. I am gonna see what I can sell, but whatever I don’t, would you like to add to your evo parts pile? I’d like to make something unique out of the cams. Like a lamp post or something. =)
Of course. And I’ll help you make that lamp post too
I was gonna buy some meth soon since I’m almost out. Let me know how much you want for that! Sorry to see you’re getting rid of the evo, it would’ve been cool to compare an evo on a red to my sti on a red. Who’s buying it?
Hey, I need a gallon of it first! Evo almost on empty :tong lolz
No one is buying it. I am trading it in. I was trying to sell it for $28k, but had no interests. Local stealership is offering me $26.6k for it which is a little more than I owe and only slightly less than I expected. I just hope it goes to someone who will take care of it. I have spent every waking moment the past few days second guessing myself. Tomorrow I have to give them an answer.
Adam has first claim to the Meth. I’m not sure how much he needs, but I told him to work something out between you two.
What are you trading it in for
Well as odd as it sounds… an 05 Dodge Ram 1500 slt. I know I know, going from an Evo to a full size truck. :nuts
The thing is that almost $600 car payments are making me nervous. My work just hired an efficiency group to come in and evaluate the place to see what we could be doing better. It’s all bullshit. We all know why they are really there, and I will feel alot more comfortable with under $400 payments. There is also some other little reasons that add up. Like being tired of the attention and paranoia when I pull into a public place. Always worrying whether my car will be broken into or someone will vandalize just because. Also we will be transferring this coming summer, and a truck will be very useful to haul whatever we don’t let the packing company take.
Like I said, they are small issues, and all of them are something I could work around. It’s just when I add them all up, it’s enough to make me consider letting it go, which is where I am now. Btw, you have access to any truck aftermarket parts, John? :ponder
Yeah I hear yeah thats why I’m selling my GLI. Rather have my two cars that I owe out right then make the payments on the Jetta so the GLI is out, lol. I have access to everything. Is the Ram a Turbo Diesel
nope… 1500’s are gas only
weaksauce
It’s sad to see this car go… I liked it a lot
Ya me too man. I’m hours away from trading it in, and am still second guessing myself. A part of me hopes my bank disapproves the loan when I call them back. I have no doubts that I will regret this for awhile, but long term I think it is a smart move. Especially if I find myself laid off in the next 6 months.
Looks like you’ll get to compare your sti on a red to an evo on a red afterall. The original buyer backed out, and a local evo owner and member here ended up picking it up tonight. I can’t wait to see how it performs.
Dare I say Matt? :cool
:banana or :ohnoes ???
So Mike, what is your overall impression of the Blox Front Engine Roll Stopper? I’ve got some shifting crappiness that I’ve tried to address several ways, and I’m wondering if you felt the improvements were worth the extra vibrations this thing introduced.
And Byron, if it’s GrandMassaX that picked up the FP red, you won’t get a chance to compare the Evo w/ red to your STI. That guy never brings his car out on a track or course. :mwahaha
It improved high rpm shifting tremendously. Even just cruising around the difference was noticeable. I would dare say this will make an even bigger difference on the track then I felt while daily driving with little fits of rage once in awhile. The extra cabin vibrations are only felt at idle, so yes, I definitely felt the improvements were worth the extra vibrations.
About the turbo… I’ll let the person who bought it make the claim. I think he mentioned something about giving you too a run for your money next season, so he maybe wanting to keep it a secret. :mwahaha
Oh damn then that can’t be Matt :lol
