Turbo Mufflers - enough flow?

Im a little worried about spool time, thinking may need a 50 shot, spray to spool.

Thankfully the chambers are seperated. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/50_delta.html

Helluva lot cheaper then buying some crazy tubular manifolds and shit.

hmmmmm

I see two

 i like this

Ive heard they flow nice, but i haven’t used them

and, ultimate :snky: :snky:

Its gonna get pretty hot in there lol

ehhh… well they looked cool in the tops pics…

hmmmm

As far as the heat: Turbo blankets, Wrap the hot pipes, Build a new raised floor, heat shield the bottom of the new floor, heat shield the top of the new floor, Side scoops are going to be functional circulating air into the area.

oh, and the baffling & ish is gone.

Rear mounts level two.

Last update for now.

I’m confused by the lack of flaming. Are my MBA classes making me dumber or is there going to be no flow through the turbos? Wouldn’t just welding the turbo inlet to the tail pipe discharge been easier and actually “work”?

Or is that the point and this is another “haha look at how shallow the gene pool’s getting” internet epics?

post #10 should explain the fundementals fry - that pipe (removed) is effectively the ‘manifold’ feeding the turbine. the turbine & WG will output into the remainder of the muffler body. the body is 409 stainless.

effectively welding the tailpipe (with no cats or mufflers, just alot of pipe) to the turbine inlet, yes.

What about the siicone couplers? melting pot?

i see a mustang interior, pics of mustang?

i saw this the other day. good stuff!

^lol. at first i just saw the muffler pics, and :picard:ed, then read through the actual thread and thought “hmmmm”

fresh airflow into the “compartment”, plus the turbine blankey & all hot pipes being wrapped… it shouldn’t be unbearable in there (for silicone) except when idling / stopped.

wow i had no idea u were a ford guy, cool build
