Turbo Re-Clocking

Anyone ever done it or know how to?

I did it a bunch of times. whats the problem? loosen the bolts of the compressor (but don’t undo), and when all loose, twist, then tighten.

Its clocked for top mount. I want bottom.

Ill try that.

Anyone want to tell me wtf this does? Is it just to make sure the compressor/impeller wheels are tight together?

When i got my turbo, it was for top mount as well. You can rotate either compressor or exhaust i believe, or maybe just compressor. Dammit, i picture it in my head.

Kris: in a way, yes. clocking the position in which the compressor inlet is facing.

Ahh, got it. Thanks. Can this turbo retard get a gold star now?

No you get a very large F. Sorry. :stuck_out_tongue:

Clocking is easy, look at the turbo a little more to figure it out, then get out the wrenches, loosen some bolts spin it around a bunch and then tighten it when it stops in the right spot…BAAAMMMM you are done now install and go faster than before the clock was turned…what… :drinkers:

If you dont know how to clock a turbo, you shouldn’t have one Mr. nismo pole rider! ROFL… :butthead:
