racespec FTW. and what about that guy up in NF with that nutty A4 you were telling about? didn’t that have a big turbo?
yeah
GT3071/GT2871 hybrid custom turbo on a 1.8Tq. Some serious power, I can’t believe I forgot about him. Not sure what he runs, or expected power, I don’t like guessing. But, I was with him when he spun all 4 from a dead stop, so that’s proof enough for me.
I’ve got a killer flu so I’m not on top of my game today, ugh.
the guy was at about 300whp and ran 12.8 around, but has some drivetrain issues, idk i’d say thats fast for an a4
and dex :word: to racespec
I was comparing because they aren’t fast at all. Now, after some time, there is a fast one. I still have not seen a fast A4… EVER. I am speaking from personal experience.
I spin all 4 also… but I’m slow
My galant in it’s current way it sits spins all 4, it is maybe a mid to low 14 second vehicle
lol
Yeah, it’s simply impossible to make any 1.8T car fast. They blow up when they run 14s.
lol…
we have some locally that run 14s?
my autotragic hit 14.6.
I’m messin with ya…
I know yours was the quickest in the area. Go race that on in NF and see how you hold up
he can’t the tranny blew up
i’m just messing with you don. your car was pretty sick.
and i hate to be “that guy” but if all goes according to plan, there should be at least one sick 1.8T out next year. maybe 2.
Full weight?
Race gas / pump?
I remember you telling me about it but I forgot details.
stock exhaust, K04, autotragic, I had a half/half mixed with 112 and 93, wasn’t pulling much timing because my tuning wasnt finished. the spare tire was taken out.
complete mod list:
K04-15 turbo
Racespec K04 software @18psi (when I was at the track)
Stock fuel system
Stock exhaust
Modified air box
GFB Hybrid BOV
i think if I had ran it again at the track I would have done better from better tuning and more boost, but the extra power killed the car before I made it out again. It was a 2.0 60’. My transmission is getting repaired as we speak and then the car’s getting sold.
I drive a chevy truck now
only 1 1.8t… but thats not in my hands.
as for the turbo, its 3 bolts to the manifold, 3 to the exhaust(4 on transverse), 1 2" hoseclamp and 4 banjo fittings for coolant/oil… shouldn’t take you more than 4 hours in an A4… 5 hours if you’re replacing the manifold, 6 if you have to do manifold and lines… In a transverse… generally double it…this is all aslong as you’re mechanically inclined.
or 2 in dons case
Note: Cooley is referring to the number of bolts on don’s exhaust.
Chevy trucks don’t have 1.8Ts
your has 2 donaldo v-1-8teeeee
at least one, maybe 2. i’m not talking about you. get your head out of your ass and get your ass back to buffalo this weekend.
e-rock?
word.
