Turbo Timer wiring for s14

Hi guys

I am having problems with getting greddy turbo timer to do a countdown / shutdown of the car - I tried using ACCESSORY for the blue wire using this setup first:

TEST SETUP #1
(greddy tt --> s14 harness)

  1. red --> 12V constant (white / red stripe)
  2. green --> ignition 1 (black / red stripe)
  3. blue --> accessories (blue / white stripe)
  4. black (ground) --> chassis

Greddy TT manual says “with vehicles that have 2 ignition (ON) wires, connect the Green wire to the ignition wire which does not drop voltage when the starter is activated. Then connect the Blue wire to the other ignition wire”.

So I tried poking around with voltmeter and found that the starter wire (Black w/white stripe) is about the only thing that has voltage rise during start and drop after it starts (no s8 sherlock)… Either way - tried that as the replacement for the accessory to see if I can do countdown:

TEST SETUP #2
(greddy tt --> s14 harness)

  1. red --> 12V constant (white / red stripe)
  2. green --> ignition 1 (black / red stripe)
  3. blue --> starter wire (black / white stripe)
  4. black (ground) --> chassis

Tried switching the line switch on the back on the greddy - putting in manual countdown into P-1 mode with “30 secs” but still no luck.

I did notice it initiates auto count when I drive with it wired up to accessory line and does count(a) from P-1 preset to 999 or so then goes back to P-1 starting value.

Right now I wired it back to accessory line since I am doubtful as to which is the CORRECT second ignition wire on the s14 to use.

Here’s a diagram

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Wiring was correct - s14 can use accessory as secondary wire - I think the relay inside the greddy TT was getting stuck or maybe the unit was unused for a while (moisture) and just needed some time to work through it.

Count down works now - still having issues it reading vss but I’ll check the signal pin again (ecu pin 26 Y/G in '95 FSM).
