turbonator

Does anyone have any experience with this product or any other air flow enchancers on the market?
I would love to put one of these things to the test and see if they deliver.

DRE

On Carburated cars that things a must, I’ve sceen it work
wonders but on Fuel Injected cars it does Jack All…

All the tornado effect is lost through the Intake Housing and Runners.

Erm, isn’t this like that Tornado thing that you see on TV all the time?

If you ask me, it’s waste of money. But hey, go buy it and prove us all wrong.

^^^ did you ever use one?
or can you explain why it doesn’t work?

DRE

Never used one. It just seems like a gimmick, like every other thing you
see on those infomercials.

Like I said, don’t take my word for it. I’m just speaking for myself.

DRE I have used them on both FI cars and CARB cars.

On CARB cars we noticed about a good 30 hp gain on a 350 chev.

But on the 2001 FI Impala like the one in the comercial it did dick all.

It looses the vortex/tornado affect like i said in the change in direction
of the intake runners. In cars like the 240 with the way the intake runners
are perpendicular to the TB it makes no sence that the vortex would stay
a constant. but in cars like my dads truck where the intake runners are
parallel to the TB then I could see it making a difference there.

Honeslty though DRE buy one and try see what happens…

^^^ Thanks.

I might pick up a tornado to test it out, this turbonator is over 100 CDN deliverd and that’s not justified. Based on my understanding, any fan/ propeler should do the same thing (if the effect is constant throughout the intake piping), in which case I might try to fabricate my own for testing.

Anyone know wht would be the easiest way to measure airflow?

DRE

It doesnt change airflow persay in CFM but in the way the air flows and mixes with the fuel.

Take an old computer fan like the 60mm ones and stick that in your intake.

^^^ lol, I was just thinking of that!!!

DRE

Im serious man, take the center blade out of the housing,
shave it down to fit, some how secure it in the piping,
and BAM you have yourself a Turbonator.
