Turby Winter '08/'09 rebuild **"almost done" pics, post 424

:mamoru:

lol!..

My Lingenfelter 2-step arrived today, and I must give credit where credit is due. This has to be one of the best packaged pieces of equipment i’ve bought for my car. I’ve purchased a lot of (expensive) things that were just thrown in a box, taped up and sent out with nothing other than the item. This 2-step (which is a very nicely built unit) also came with a very nice booklet with colored wiring instructions for every possible application. (ie, manual, manual with nitrous, manual with line lock, manual with LL and N, automatic, etc…)… also came with other things.

I just wanted to give Lingenfelter props for sending me a COMPLETE product unlike 90% of the products in this industry. I guess that’s why they have the rep they do. But, at $275, this is probably the cheapest product they offer … :picard:

on a progress note, they actually got some work done on the car today, and i think our guy is going to be able to stick on it now until it is done. praise the lord!

the downside is that our body shop is freakin backed up like no tomorrow and our customers are screaming for their stuff… so i’m out of the office for a while to help keep things moving in the body shop. ugh, but you gotta do what ya gotta do. putting the one guy on my car isn’t hurting us because we are supplying (prepping) more than our paint booths can handle right now. hopefully we are able to get color on the thing by the end of next week. I have a feeling i’m going to be priming the thing after hours next week since our booth is backed up. at least it’s making progress

 to someones car getting work done.

It’s looking great guys! I’m glad everything is coming together

2 steps FTW, just remember, they’re for race cars. lol

I thought the stock PCM could be programmed to have a two step? I assume this box gives you more functionality than you could get out of the stock one? Should sound bad ass, I love mine

aftermarket controllers like big stuff 3 have that function, but not the OEM computer. This isn’t a true 2 step, but is commonly called one. it is basically a stutter box with a timing retard function

well unfortunatelly i haven’t had my camera on me at work lately to track the body work. quite a bit was done by a fella here that does a good job. i sprayed the primer on the car tonight after work, though, and got some pictures post-bake from the phone. the roof and the driver side quarter (which both had a LOT of work done on them) had some deeper “scratches” in them… but in the hopes to get the job done with one primer session, i sprayed five coats in certain areas. we start wetsanding the primer tomorrow morning at 7am!!!

nice! Can’t wait to see it running

nice bill, make sure she is ready for the car show july 18th at the dealership

kevin told me you called… i’m assuming it was about this?

car is mostly blocked out as we speak with 220. i used all the primer last night, and actually am about to run up to tonawanda to get some more so i can shoot it again today

i’ve been working at getting this back together… paint turned out pretty decent. still needs its wet-sand buff. that’s monday. also, it will be getting its carpet that was just pre-cut and taken to be hemmed for the cage. car defenitely needs a detail. engine bay and underside has a lot of dust, but thankfully no overspray. the hood did get some light primer overspray but that’s NBD.

i got the stereo running tonight also. i am VERY happy with the elemental designs products and highly recommend them. they are worth much more than they sell for. night and day difference from the factory style system. not going to be helpful for my track goals (lol, ugh), but i’ve been wanting something nice. the sub/sub amp is easily removable, though

Nice to see it coming together

nice should be done pretty soon then

nice bill, what’s on the lift to the left?!?!?!?!?!?!
