Turby Winter '08/'09 rebuild **"almost done" pics, post 424

Looks like a white T/A!

i cant wait to see some burnouts

Paint looks a hell of a lot better than my car

drove it to the gas station last night  feels pretty good, but def some things to button up. we had to respray the fenders and wing real quick. i have class tonight after work, so i plan on having it out tomorrow night and bringing it home.  lots of detail work yet, along with a lot of nutting and bolting, but soooo close.

ahhhh. i hate this car!

yay

more good news. jamie at work decided he felt like buffing my car today… its being buffed as we speak. :ohyeah: that takes a big chunk of time out of the equation

Cant wait to see it out and about.

still needs another cut of polish, and obviously no sealer for a while until the paint is cured, but here is a sneak peak. also have more trim and whatnot to put on. drove it to lunch today. felt awesome. unfortunately i’m having a recurring fuel pump relay issue

So you’re going to have to paint it again?

lol ugh. ya basically.

fortunately i have a kill switch like i should have last time. i have a short somewhere…or something

Haha, it sounds like you should also have a FUSE. LOL.

the switch is fused

What products are you using for the polishing and pads?

To cut the wetsanding we used 3M and a traditional buffer with varying cuts. It still needs more smoothing, which I’ll use my menzerna ip and fp2 for with a portercable 7424. In a couple weeks I’ll put the zaino on. Those pics are pretty forgiving for its current state

Glad to see it running agian, whats the problem with the FP still, it has a short? What did you change form last time?

Thouse are the everyday street tires? Why not just get slicks if you can’t drive the car in the rain anyway? Not hating, just thinking thouse look to limit you. To no rain so much your can’t risk getting caught and lowers the amount you can drive the car. The same as just running a better DOT slick like a QTP, Etdrag.

he has hoosiers quick times on there i believe

 this makes me happy.

Drove it home :). Still not done though

Studderin - I’m oh my phone so thisbis going to be short for now. Similar setup as last year. The pump (other on Hobbs) will run on it’s own with no keys on the car. We replaced the front relay and it fixed it… Until today when it began doing it again. Came back to get the car after my night class and it was fine when I switched the power back on. I’m assuming some short or a poop computer, because it wouldn’t load a tune the other day. Although it would flash back 2 months ago. We haven’t spent much time on that yet though. I need to spend some time on it but I’m open to suggestions

As far as tires they are 335 Hoosiers for cruising. I plan on getting sown billet specialties street lights and bigggg tires, but I want to pad the wallet for a while first
