Twitter.com → X.com

Sure enough. I bitched about it not working and Snaptu provided me with a beta version that isn’t available to the public that works really well.

Still waiting on Nokia to give me a free phone. :lolno:

I still haven’t been to twitter.com, for some reason I am avoiding it like the plague.

Don’t worry it’s not all drama’d out like facebook and myspace. I use it primarily to follow companies I’m interested in and select people.

yo guys, this is the most recent twitter thread so i’m bumping it with some questions for those that know how to use it.

so you can follow people but can you set it to follow specific tags or trends?

for example, if i want to subscribe to #onstorm (ontario storm weather tag) can I somehow follow that phrase or do I need to manually search for it every time?

I’m looking around but can’t find a way to do it.

you can save the search phrase… or just follow a local weather twitter?

Install tweetdeck. Add a column for #fancysocks or whatever it is you’re interested in.

got it… set it up… will have to learn how to use this now too…

*edit… tweetdeck is pretty serious business… but it’s not as configurable as i’d like it… still cool. thanks for the suggestion

You didn’t know how to do anything more than follow people and now you are complaining about how it isn’t as configurable as you would like? Lol

I think I have a tweeter.

You do

I also suggest you look at Lists

This way, you can have a list of friends, finance people/blogs, high school girls, and other things without having a giant feed cluttered up with crap.

I love lists. There is one someone created for the Buffalo Food Trucks. I have one for local friends in Buffalo and one for NHL players. The one thing I don’t like is navigating to get to the lists in the native twitter site. It’s not as a direct as it should be.

A twitter?

LOL “OBVIOUS CORP”

Twitter now has two factor authentication…

Twitter guys, help me figure this one out.

I have my personal Twitter linked to my personal Facebook page. My personal Facebook page also controls the NYSpeed Facebook page.

I’d like to link an NYSpeed Twitter account to the NYSpeed Facebook page, but apparently I can’t have 2 Twitter accounts linked to my personal Facebook page (to therefore control the NYSpeed page.)

Other than create a dummy Facebook account, give it admin access to the NYSpeed Facebook page, then link the NYSpeed Twitter account to the dummy account, is there any other way?

Check out HootSuite? I don’t know if it can do exactly what you want but it might

Looks awesome, but I’d prefer a free solution.

Maybe I’ll just get tpgsr to give me his Facebook login so I can access the NYSpeed page

I thought there was a free level to manage 5 accounts
