Oh great expert what should I have got?
I spent around $600shipped 20inch monitor, Decent AMD, 2gigs of ram…
I could not even buy all the parts for anywhere close to what I paid for all this.

lol if there was a better deal…I would have been pissed…
ive been running vista since i got my hands on the RTM, just to get myself used to it so i could learn it for when i need it in the future. this way i can force myself to use it, and that allows me to find ways around things that need to be fixed.
i really dont have that much of a problem with it, other then the little things that they changed that made all my audio options with the Xfi not work. but creative is working on drivers and software to make it work again.
i think that it will get better once all the support is out for it. it just sucks now because its different then what people are used to, and it is not as supported as XP is at the moment. i sound like a supporter of M$ now, boo to that i would rather there be more support for Linux, its a much better OS. (and yes i have used Linux before im not just saying what i hear, i was running Ubuntu as the main OS on my laptop for the longest time, then the laptop stopped turning on so that stopped there.)
MY main problem with Vista is that it takes FOREVER to copy and rename files. It’s really bad, worse than XP ever was.
Second day of using Vista on my new laptop, and I see nothing wrong with it.
Then again, I never had XP or anything, so this is a total upgrade. I went from Windows 2000 to 98 to Vista. I suck.
My mom just got a new lower-end Toshiba laptop with vista that would have been more than fast enough for XP. It sucks balls with vista.
windows classic theme man. shut down all those silly vista effects

why would you go from 2000 to 98

My computer crashed, and I got a free computer to use with 98 on it. I hated life for that period of time. Couldn’t do anything on the damn thing.
