However, including the partial refund because it’s a piece of crap, it was less than $200, so I made over $200 on the switch, and the sound is great, only slightly more aggressive tone, bit louder, and feels the same as with the catback off. It’s also about 10 lbs lighter, so that’s cool too.
All in all I’m pretty unsatisfied, but it’s my own fault.
Next step is a custom single and headers. Bah. Live and learn.
That’s the thing though, I bolted the hangers on first, centered them, tightened them down, then when I went back to the flanges I had to pull the catback via tightening the flanges a good 3", like there was that much space between the catback and midpipe flanges.
After I got the flanges tight, went to the back of the car, saw that the way it sat from the rear looked terrible, so I did just that: Loosened everything out back up, wiggled it around, etc. It seems like the exhaust is about 2" too short overall.
not a hanger issue unless they are bent. its different from the stock catbacks mounting. the bracketry is fixed flat stock. they don’t slide on the pinch of the canister like they do stock.
