Unclassified Misdemeanor?

Does an Unclassified Misdemeanor(wreckless driving) ever erase from your record? So that its something you dont have to disclose for a job and/or background check?

Disclose it for a job and most of the time for a background. Now most applications ask for anything that is not a simple traffic ticket.

I have always been advised to disclose anything on a background check. Just because something is “sealed” or given ACD after 6 months doesn’t mean it won’t turn up. I have nothing on me but it was just an FYI to me from numerous professors who are retired police enforcement officials.

you only need to disclose felonys

impossible to say this, because some employers ask for ANY convictions including felony, misdemeanor, and minor non-traffic violations too (I.E. a discon or possession of some weed)

depends on what they’re asking.

I have never put down any of my mishaps, ever, and they have never checked. Well, everyone other than the army anyways.

All depends on what kind of job you are going for…

I got a wreckless driving when I was younger when I was on a trip to PA.

It wasn’t a misdemeanor in my case.

I hold two government security clearances, so it didn’t hold me back.

I guess what im really asking is if it will show up on a regular employment check with per-say an insurance co job. Its been over 5 yrs so im wondering if i really need to disclose it.

I wouldnt unless I had to IMHO. If the application says “have you ever been charged with a felony”? then dont say shit.
