The 1978 law didn’t legalize moonshining, though; you still can’t brew spirits for private consumption. It is kosher, however, to own a still and process alcohol—but only if you’re using the alcohol as fuel and you have a permit from the ATF. (In some states, you can purchase a legal version of moonshine from commercial distillers.)
Of the percentage of the population that drinks liquor/beer, or smokes cigarettes/cigars, etc… how many actually produce their own? Percentages are low, and would be with recreational marijuana users if it became readily available in your area.
I think it will ultimately depend on the price and strength. If the private market doesn’t like then they’ll circumvent. It’s a weed, it’s very easy to grow unlike cigs, beer, alcohol.
I just got back from LA, there were people selling dope everywhere in public, it was 40$ for a “medical permit”, guys walking around cops just puffin and huffin
I beg to differ… there’s lots of people out there who benefit from it medically… It’s a lot more effective/less addictive than the Opiates that Drs prescribe for everything now a days; not even mentioning the appetite issues with cancer treatments.
Longer wait times to get through 4-way stops… as the stoners wait for the sign to turn green before they go.
Even slower traffic on the highway…
“Do you know how fast you were going?”
“No officer I don’t. 70 maybe?”
“7! You were in the left lane of the highway going 7 MILES PER HOUR!!!”
“oh”
