hah, 91mr2 is so right though. newman and cougarspeed both post about doing heaters and so now everyone on nyspeed has hopped on the “lets do heaters” bandwagon.
On that note, didn’t newman post a video of him doing a burnout at a regular meet location?
I just don’t appreciate that people everywhere look down on the import community because of this type of behavior. I feel like an asshole in front of my superiors at work driving a modded car to work and running into them in the parking garage because I feel like they’re judging me based on what the see others doing. That’s all. And I would say that it’s sort of unfair to say someone is lame or not auto enthusiast because of this. There are plenty of abandoned/quiet areas to go for a burnout session. The middle of a public park is hardly the right venue.
Honestly boardjunky I think it is time you step out of the game. I really do. Look at like what jays posted that is a well thought out logical response from someone you can tell is still an automotive enthusiast and always will be. I agree with him on all points.
Than I read your posts and I get some hints of jealousy, then I get the fact that you worry about us ruining your rep for driving your hatchback whatever lol. Yeah I am sure your co-workers are really worried about the amount of soccer balls that fit in that shit. If you are still into this scene then I am POSITIVE you do your share of asshattery on public roads another point from my man jays! We all do it and it is part of being in this community. You do not seem to want to take part in it anymore is what i am saying I guess. That or you just want to feel more adult/better then the rest of us.
Also as far as heaters go I really do not do them all the time but I love to slide and this is something i used to say was lame as fuck. But the automotive times have changed over the years and it is so much fun! But i hardly think that an entire community of people are now doing heaters because of myself and newman.
A little bit more info on that to ruin your point some more is that I was never that big into sliding/heaters until I started hanging out with ian and breetime all the fucking time. Those guy have brainwashed me!!!
Lets be really serious though for a second…car guys have enjoyed heaters since the dawn of time man.

hah, I am mostly out of the game. I don’t really have any friends that enjoy cars at all. I still like cars and projects though. So I doubt I will ever drop the hobby. Aside from wasting time here, and snapping photos at a few meets in this area, I don’t really participate in any community.
I have to admit that I definitely drive like an asshole a lot of times though. So maybe I am just a bit too high on my horse behind this keyboard. I really didn’t intend to shit up this thread lol, so I’ll shut up.
A lot just depends on how involved in your local scene and at what point of life you are at. I am not hating on you for your current status at all. When I was in Seattle and just was not involved at all I was driving a stock 525i for almost a year before I grabbed my M5. I just don’t want ya hating on us is all.
