Where are the fusable links for the starter/ignition? I found no loose wires but am not getting juice to my ignition. Also how likey is it the neutral safety switch? Can I bypass it easily to test if this is the case?

Well I started probing wires and well basically I couldn’t even see them let alone know whether or not they had proper power. I also got frustrated with my A/C being in the way. Being that I never use it, and never have, I decided to ditch it. In doing so I got something like this:
And I don’t know if its a good thing or not, but I think I found the cause of my troubles. Damn exhaust.
But I still don’t know what this broke or if this is all thats broke or what… Any one have a carb setup for me?
fix those wires up and see if your problems go away it would be a really go place to start atleast
The wires are not physically broken. All of the insulatio is melted and the bare wires showing but none of them were touching each other. They were just riding on the exhaust. I just ASSUME that would blow a fuse or melt a wire elsewhere.
The heat could fuck those wires up… On my way to carlisle this year I melted one of my 30a fan relays so I just hooked up the wires without the relay to see if it would work adn it wouldnt… I was thinking something else, so i just cut the wire back a little bit and tryed again and it worked fine… So I think that the heat just fucked up the wire or something and wouldn’t let it work… Maybe that’s something that it did to yours too
Ok, hate to admit this, but I did finally find the problem. The wire from the battery to the alternator came out of the brass spade terminal. The mass of electrical tape I used when I put it on kept me from seeing it earlier… DUH :ashamed:
