JDM S14 usually is 1250KG
but mine 97 KOUKI shows 17xx KG on the door.
even tho they have diff engines, but its only like 30kg difference…
this is because usdm s14’s chasis is all steel?and jdm’s are aluminum??
my frd’s B16A1 160hp EG can easily catch up on me…
(220hp stock S14 SR blacktop)
i spent like over 20 grands on my car , but he got it like 3000+ something…
fuck can someone tell me how to reduce the weight? like go on a diet for my car? :)
i need u guys to comfort me!! lol
something is wrong with your car if a little B16A is pulling you in easy as you say. Im not talking outta my ass I was an Honda guy. Unless his motor has light head work and a proper tune… but even still in shouldnt be that easy.
the point is his EG is been lighted…900KG VS my 1780kg plus i have a trunk of crap.
i can lead on the first 2 gears with huge gap, but then jumped to 3rd gear he can keep up with me. lol.but still, why is the USDM s14 is way more heavier than the JDM ones? its like 500KG difference…
Its actually not at all. I weighed my car before and after the swap was done at the 407 weigh station, and it lost something like 130lbs with the swap. But when I weighed it after the swap it was 2734lbs, and in forza it says a zenki weighs 2734lbs, exactly the same. lol
Your saying your car weighs 3900lbs?? A full size family sedan TSX weighs 3300lbs or so.
Only way to see if your car is slow is take it to the track it should be running something like mid to high 14s stock. At least thats what I got.
I agree u have 2 take it 2 the track. If the s14 with stock sr20 runs 14 second then a eg with b16a will keep up with it or even beat it. those civcs are very light. I have a 93 coupe si and it weighs with me in 2300lbs and iam 200lbs. To lighten ur car u could remove rear seats carpet, under paddings, spare tire, jack it all depends how hardcore u want to go. heater core & box.front and rear re bars the skies the limit.
stock s14 with se (4 lug) no abs, no air bags, no rebar, no seats in the rear, no antenna, no spare, s14 sr20 with fmic, 3 inch exhaust from down pipe, (not outlet) solid intake side with hks cone, on stockish suspension on a 245 winter tire down to the wires ran 12.689 3 years ago in cayuga 27 degrees out… video is on u tube - and with weighing my new s14 around 2450 pounds i think that my old car was about the same maybe more - good luck dudes!
