OK clutch on the conquest is the original as far as i know with 119k on it, and slips like a bitch. I dont plan to keep this car very long so i found someone on the starquest forum sellin a used clutch and pressure plate for $30 becuase he upgraded. Honeslty i dont know by looking at a clutch if its any good or not, could you please give me your opinions! Thanks for your time.

new ones are $300 and up

Don’t know the details of your car so I guessed, but http://www.rockauto.com has 2 clutch kits in stock for an 89 conquest tsi turbo for $107.
I’d much rather spend $107 for a new one than take a chance on a $30 used one considering what a pain in the ass clutch jobs normally are.

disc has alot of life, looks fine the the pics. I dont see anything that looks like there was a problem. needs some better pics of the plate.
I used clutch can be fine, nothing differnt the just taking any used clutch off, and just putting it back on. Just retartd out there do stupiud things. Ive dose alot of fast cars that are running a good used clutch off a differnt setup.

If it’s not a difficult job and you’re going to sell it might as well give it a shot. Pictures look good and if you get it in your hands and it looks worse you’re only out $30.
My old Fiero was an 7+ hour job if you knew what you were doing. In that case it just makes so much more sense to spend the extra money to put in one you know will work.
