Vespa parts in dormant purple and Bonded Black Chrome:
Did dormant blue once, tried it the first time on a practice part, came out of the oven silver, WTF!?!? did I order the wrong stuff? Did I put the right powder in? Clear makes the magic happen.
Haha I did the same thing. I got illusion violet in first for my first dormant way back in the day thinking it was just like a candy so I put down a chrome and then the violet and still silver. I was flipping shit all around the shop trying to figure out what was wrong so I had to call Prismatic to figure out what I was doing wrong. Man did I feel like an idiot once I found out the answer to that question :-/

Haha sure felt like a fool at that point. Grannysmith Green is the hardest dormant I’ve done but turns out great!
too iffy to get them to turn out real nice, but when it’s right, you’re usually not trying b/c it’s a test or your own crap and it turns out FLAWLESS. Try real hard on a customer part and it looks awful.
Ha if I had time to do my own parts that is probably what would happen! I know what you mean though, some of the easiest parts get messed up when I’m doing them for someone else.
