I left my car in a parking lot last night (dunno if this has anything to do with it)
I pull on the 219 today and all of a sudden my car starts a DEATH shake. I mean to the point of my drink spilling over the top of the can.
I pull over and check everything, I tug on the wheels, check all the lugs ect. Nothing is loose. I pull away and it starts to vibrate terrible again as I gain speed, then all of a sudden it just stops.
WTF. drove the car tonight, drives fine, then all of a sudden it starts to shake extremely bad for a few miles, then stops again. I didn’t take it apart yet, but i’m looking for some suggestions on what to look at.
Warranty or not, I like figuring out my problems before I take it to the dealer so they can’t bullshit me. Within reason of course. If I hear a knock coming from inside the engine I’m not going to start tearing it down or anything but his probably should take about 15 minutes to cross off the simple things.
Not to mention if it is a shifted belt the dealer may not do shit and charge you a bunch of money to diagnose that it’s not their problem.
If i go to the dealer they are going to see that my rear pads are shot and I just replaced my front rotors/pads and they may deny my warranty based upon that I drive my car aggressively.
What do you guys mean by a shifted belt?
Front and rears are down to the metal, I thought only my fronts were so I bought new rotors/pads for the front, but now I realized my rears are shot as well.
